2022 Legislative Session

On Thursday, April 28, the Tennessee General Assembly concluded their 2022 legislative session. During the 2022 legislative session, the General Assembly enacted several legislative changes regarding Pre-K-12 education in Tennessee, including matters related to school funding, special education, computer science, educator licensure, and several other topics. 

Additionally, the department compiles a full legislative report with information on each Public Chapter (passed legislation) from the General Assembly’s 2022 legislative session. The report includes points of contact at the department for each item and can be found here.
