Civil Rights Title IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX) prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in all programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. The Tennessee Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (TOCR) is responsible for ensuring equal access to education by enforcing compliance with Title IX. TOCR has jurisdiction to investigate complaints alleging discrimination on the basis sex.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits discrimination against its customers. If you believe you experienced discrimination when obtaining services from USDA, participating in a USDA program, or a program that receives financial assistance from USDA, you may file a complaint with USDA.
