Student Checklist

It is imperative that all students be mindful of the email address and phone number(s) provided to the partnering organization. This information will be used to communicate important program eligibility details and upcoming deadlines directly to the student.  We recommend adding your partnering organization information to your safe sender list for your email account to ensure safe delivery of these communications. 

Fall 2022 - Continuing Students

Enroll and attend full-time in an eligible program of study at an eligible postsecondary institution. Please contact the financial aid office at the institution if you are unable to enroll full-time in any semester.

Complete and report eight (8) hours of community service to your partnering organization to maintain eligibility into the spring 2023 semester.

File the 2023-24 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov. The 2023-24 FAFSA will be available on October 1, 2022.

Complete and report eight (8) hours of community service to your partnering organization to maintain eligibilty into the summer semester. This is optional for students enrolled at a community college or most eligible four-year institution, but is required for those enrolled at a TCAT.

Class of 2023 - High School Seniors

File the 2023-24 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on www.studentaid.gov.  The 2023-24 FAFSA will be available on October 1, 2023. 

Attend a mandatory meeting coordinated by your assigned partnering organization. Details about the mandatory meeting requirements will be provided to applicants following the application deadline in the fall.

Complete and report your first 8 hours of community service.

Community service must be completed on or after November 2, 2022 in order to be considered.

If selected, provide requested documentation to complete FAFSA verification.

Additional information will be provided by the postsecondary institution for those selected for verificatoin following submission of the FAFSA.
