State Board of Examiners for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors

Purpose

The Board of Examiners for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors was created to regulate architecture, engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, and interior design in the State of Tennessee. The current requirements for the licensure or registration of architects and architectural firms, engineer interns and engineering firms, land surveyors, landscape architects and landscape architectural firms, and interior designers can be found in Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 2, and Chapter 18, Part 1.

Mission

The mission of the Tennessee Board of  Examiners for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare through the regulation of architects and architectural firms, engineers, engineer interns and engineering firms, land surveyors, landscape architects and landscape architectural firms, and interior designers.
