NASHVILLE --- State Trooper Grant Montgomery of the West Tennessee Drug Task Force (WTDTF) arrested two females for drug possession after finding marijuana inside their vehicle on Monday afternoon.

Beverly Rogers, 24, of Del City, Oklahoma, and Courtney Factory, 27, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma were both charged with possession of schedule VI with intent to manufacture, deliver or sale. They were booked at the Haywood County Jail.

The women, who were en route to Nashville from Oklahoma, were stopped at approximately 1:38 p.m. in a 2007 Dodge Charger for a traffic violation at the 45 mile marker on Interstate 40 eastbound in Haywood County. Trooper Montgomery, a Memphis District Interdiction Plus Team member, was denied consent to search the vehicle and then requested K-9 support from WTDTF Special Agent Joey Rhea.  After the K-9 gave positive alerts to the vehicle, the officers searched the car to find 10 one pound bundles of marijuana inside the trunk.

The vehicle was seized in accordance with state law.
