Suspect Identified in Double Fatal Hit and Run Crash

Nashville, Tennessee --- Investigators with the Tennessee Highway Patrol have identified the driver of a pick-up truck involved in a deadly crash this morning.   State Troopers are looking for Hurlin Alvarez of La Vergne, Tennessee.  He is believed to be traveling with his brother, Henry Alvarez, in a red two-door 2006 Honda Civic with Tennessee tag 853 RTH.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning, the Nissan Frontier pick-up truck Alvarez was believed to be driving hit a motorcycle on Highway 70 just west of the Centertown city limits.  The driver of the motorcycle and passenger were killed, and the pick-up truck driver fled the scene on foot.

Hurlin Alvarez is described as having a dark complexion.  He is approximately five-foot, six inches tall, with a stocky build and dark hair.  He was wearing a blue and white striped shirt and blue jeans.  There is no description of Henry Alvarez at this time.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Hurlin or Henry Alvarez is urged to call the Tennessee Highway Patrol or their local authorities.
