NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is offering a clarification to the dog training guidelines listed under the Small Game Hunting section of the 2008 Hunting and Trapping Guide (hard copy).

Under the heading of Dog Training on page 15 of the “hard copy” (page 17 on the Web site hunting guide), the sentence should read as follows: Training of bird dogs, rabbit dogs, squirrel dogs and fox hounds is permitted year-round on private lands. “During daylight hours only” should not be in the sentence.

The 2008 Hunting and Trapping guide on the TWRA Web site reflects the change.
