NASHVILLE ---   The Tennessee Department of Safety is hosting an Open House at its new Driver Services Center in Greene County, Friday, November 14, 2008, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Safety Commissioner Dave Mitchell and Deputy Commissioner Greta Dajani invite the public to come and visit the new, larger facility, which is located at 1210 Hal Henard Road, Greeneville, Tennessee.

The Department of Safety relocated its Greene County Driver Services Center to its new location on August 1, 2008.
 
The Tennessee Department of Safety’s mission is (www.tennessee.gov/safety) to ensure the safety and general welfare of the public. The department encompasses the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Office of Homeland Security and Driver License Services. General areas of responsibility include law enforcement, safety education, motorist services and terrorism prevention.
