Tennessee Highway Patrol Proudly Announces Its New Class Of Recruits

Nashville, Tennessee: Fifty-eight new cadets will spend the next 19 weeks in classroom training, with graduates advancing to a minimum of four weeks of field training. The more than 850 hours of classroom training is divided into 12 major categories that include criminal and constitutional law, patrol procedures, professional ethical conduct and firearms. The new Trooper Class is made up of 58 cadets that include 6 minorities. Four of the cadets were recruited from out-of-state.

The Tennessee Department of Safety Training Center is located at 275 Stewarts Ferry Pike, just north of I-40 in eastern Davidson County.
