SEVIERVILLE - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the indictment and arrest of Larry Bruce Spencer for tax evasion. Revenue special agents arrested Spencer at his residence Tuesday. Bond was set at $5,000.
NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam today announced Stephen Smith will serve as his chief of staff to oversee day-to-day operations of the governor’s office and serve as top advisor and strategist. Smith joined the governor’s office in August 2016 and most recently served as senior advisor to the governor. On October 25, 2017 Trooper Russell Bernard of the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) was dispatched to an injury crash involving a vehicle that struck a deer. During the crash, the driver of the vehicle sustained life threatening injuries that required immediate action by Trooper Bernard.
