Lateral Trooper Class 97 completed a rigorous 11-week training. Commissioner Jeff Long served as the keynote speaker during the graduation ceremony and delivered the oath of office as the graduating class was sworn in.

Preliminary information indicates that a hit-and-run driver struck a pedestrian on Saturday, May 2, around 1:15 a.m. in Sumner County. The crash occurred on Hwy 386 (Vietnam Veterans Boulevard) eastbound at mile marker 4 in Hendersonville.

To kick off the campaign, the THSO hosted press events in Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga, and Knoxville followed by distracted driving enforcement bus tours.
