Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Agilent Technologies’ officials announced today that the company will expand its logistics operations in Shelby County. The life sciences, diagnostics and applied chemicals company will invest $600,000 and create approximately 100 new jobs in Memphis.

Nearly $600,000 in fines and penalties were assessed on behalf of Tennessee consumers in 2017 as a result of disciplinary actions taken by the Tennessee of Department of Commerce & Insurance’s (TDCI) Securities division. A total of 19 disciplinary actions were taken which resulted in the issuance of $598,000 in civil penalties.

NASHVILLE - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Brandon Tramel’s guilty plea Tuesday to two counts of tax evasion. DeKalb County Judge Gary McKenzie accepted Tramel’s guilty plea and sentenced him to two years’ probation. Tramel was ordered to pay restitution of $5,538.55.
