NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Health is implementing an upgrade to the state’s national electronic disease surveillance system this weekend, which will require the system to be out of service during the process. As a result, TDH may not be able to provide updated COVID-19 case data on Saturday, Oct. 31 and Sunday, Nov. 1. TDH will resume reporting COVID-19 data at 2 p.m. Central time daily as soon as this system upgrade is completed and accurate data can be provided.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Governor Bill Lee today issued a proclamation honoring U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander for his outstanding work in support of the country’s 419 national parks with the passage of the Great American Outdoors Act. The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) is extending its successful Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program into the fall semester by sending qualifying families a card they can use to buy food for their student who has been impacted by the pandemic. Over 500,000 students received benefits to replace school meals lost during the spring. That’s more than half of all public-school children in the state.
