Understanding Water Supply & Distribution (4)
Overview: This 4-hour course will cover the proper methods and materials for water supply and distribution systems compliant with the International Plumbing Code. The course will begin with an explanation of the history of water supply and distribution, and then discuss treatment of water supplies for potable water. The next phase of the presentation will focus on water distribution design, including sizing the water system, cross connections, hot water systems, conservation, and inspections. Next, drainage systems will be discussed highlighting the sizing of waste systems, installation requirements, and waste heat systems. Finally, the course will cover general provisions, installation, and inspection of venting.
