Electrical, Residential and Marina

The Residential/Electrical Contract Inspection section is responsible for both the electrical inspection program and the residential building code enforcement program. The section issues permits and performs inspections to enforce the provisions of the Tennessee’s adopted electric code, residential building code and energy conservation code.

Inspections are performed by contracted inspectors located across the state. The section is staffed by eleven full-time employees: Director Joseph White, his assistant, five field supervisors and four data entry personnel.
