I work in the Consumer Insurance Services section of TDCI's Insurance Division. I am considered a sort of switchboard operator. When consumers who have insurance policies call us with their concerns, questions, and complaints, I listen to them and then try to assist them by providing them information that I hope will help them.
As an Administrative Services Assistant 2, I love my work. Being in the customer service area of this section allows me to help a lot of people. It is rewarding and humbling to hear someone say, “You’re the first person who has actually listened to what I have to say!” or just to hear a simple “Thank you.” TDCI’s management team is one of the reasons why I want to stay here. I mesh well with our team. Our team is diverse, and we have become more like family, not just co-workers. Because of my job description, qualifications, and position, I work in our office at the Davy Crockett Tower once a week while I work from home the other days. Being able to work from home four days a week is a major bonus!
As a TDCI employee, I feel we have something special and out of the ordinary for the workplace. We have open-door policies within each division, and that makes staying worthwhile. Finally, TDCI leaders make you feel like you matter, because to them, you do!
