The proposed rule changes primarily update the definition of “drug” to specifically include kratom. The proposal also makes some administrative changes for clarification.

The proposed changes to the Claims Handling Standards would clarify existing requirements for adjusting entities and claims adjusters. The amendments would clarify that adjuster-change notices, add a requirement for notification of closing a claim, and other administrative changes for clarification.
