Adult Education

Welcome to Tennessee Adult Education!
Tennessee Adult Education is here to cheer you on as you learn new skills and build a brighter future! Thanks to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), all our classes are completely free, and they’re designed to help you get ready for a high school equivalency test, find a great job, or keep learning.
We offer Adult Basic Education (ABE) to help you get stronger in reading, writing, and math. Want your diploma? We can help you study for the HiSET or GED. Need help learning English? Our Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE) classes help you grow your English skills, build job skills, and learn about becoming a U.S. citizen. We also teach computer skills, job-ready skills, and give you guidance for college or career plans.
No matter where you’re starting, we believe in you. Your goals are within reach — and we’re excited to help you get there!
