Tennessee Forestry Commission to Meet

NASHVILLE –The Tennessee Forestry Commission will meet Jan. 10, 2023 at the Cordell Hull State Office Building in Nashville, Tenn.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. CST in the Senate Hearing Room II located at 425 5th Ave. North. The meeting is open to the public to attend.

The agenda includes approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, a report on the Community Riparian Forest Restoration Program, a review of budgets, an update on the Forest Inventory and Analysis program, and a report on forest landowner input sessions. Timber sales and projections will also be covered, as well as the Commission’s annual report.

The Tennessee Forestry Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as they relate to forest resources in the state. The Commission advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on forest issues.
