TDOC and Community Partners To Hold Resource Fair

MOUNTAIN CITY – The Tennessee Department of Correction is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development and Tri-Cities area businesses and organizations to hold a resource and information fair for offenders soon to be released. Over 20 organizations/agencies, including the Tennessee Department of Motor Vehicles, Tennessee College of Applied Technology, Goodwill Industries and Northeast State Technical Community College, will be on hand to provide information and assistance with job placement, education, healthcare and faith-based community support.

Reducing the recidivism rate through evidence-based programs and continued support after an offender’s release from prison is a part of the Tennessee Department of Correction’s ongoing mission to ensure and increase the safety of the public.
