DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over Lewis Creek Canal. A signal system will be utilized. Speed limit has been reduced to 30 MPH. Beginning January 05, 2015, State Route 104 over Jones Creek at log mile 20.02, traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  State Route 104, bridge over the Obion River is CLOSED. Detour route will be posted.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday March 25 through Wednesday
April 1:
  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are open. The shoulders are closed on State Route 222.There will be possible lane closures for the duration of this project.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-193:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to State Route 194.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-196:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-64) State Route 15 to the junction of State Route 196 and Hickory Withe Road.

FAYETTE and HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-222:  A grading project on State Route 222 from north of I-40 to south of Camp Ground Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

FAYETTE and SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line. State Route 385 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction. The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection. State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64):  A widening project on State Route 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at State Route 76 and I-40 at the weigh station.

HENDERSON COUNTY, I-40 EB at Mile Marker 122: Monday, March 30, 9:00 a. m..-1:00 p. m.: There will be temporary lane closures I-40 eastbound at MM 122. One lane will be closed.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-88:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Edith-Nankipoo Road to State Route 210. Detour route will be posted.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley. There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MADISON COUNTY, I-40:  Monday, March 30 through Wednesday, April 1, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be temporary lane closures between mile marker 78 and 81.

Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be temporary lane closures between mile marker 78 and 81.

MCNAIRY COUNTY-SR-57:  A bridge replacement project will cause a reduction in lanes in both directions on State Route 57 over Cypress Creek. Traffic is reduced to one lane, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-431:  Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the North Fork Obion River bridge to US-51 (State Route 3).

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:
Wednesday, March 25
through Wednesday, April 1: A lane will be closed on I-40 eastbound Exit 1 to Riverside Drive and Front Street. The EXIT will remain open. It will only be a one-lane exit for a short duration and traffic exiting at this location can still go to either Riverside Drive or Front Street.

Wednesday March 25 through Wednesday, April 1: A lane will be closed on the I-40 westbound entrance ramp from Front Street. The ON RAMP will remain open for a single lane westbound access to the bridge. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:
Wednesday, March 25:
The work zone will be shifted to the center of the bridge. After the traffic shift the traffic configuration will be: Westbound traffic will be in two narrow lanes on the north side of the bridge. Eastbound traffic will be in two narrow lanes on the south side of the bridge. Work zone will be in the two lanes in the center of the bridge. Motorists are advised to slow down to 45 miles per hour through the work zone.

Thursday, March 26, 7:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: Westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane to allow the Contractor to move barrier rail. Westbound traffic will be in a lane on the north side of the bridge. Eastbound traffic will be in two narrow lanes on the south side of the bridge. Work zone will be in the two lanes in the center of the bridge. Motorists are advised to slow down to 45 miles per hour through the work zone.

Friday, March 27 through Wednesday, April 1: Westbound traffic will be in two narrow lanes on the north side of the bridge. Eastbound traffic will be in two narrow lanes on the south side of the bridge. Work zone will be in the two lanes in the center of the bridge. Motorists are advised to slow down to 45 miles per hour through the work zone.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River
Monday, March 23
through Thursday, April 2, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m., excluding Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 a. m.-7:30 p. m.: There will be intermittent lane closure in the outside westbound lane only, for inspection of the two main arch truss spans.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road
Wednesday, March 25
through Wednesday, April 1:
I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. Currently there is dirt work, cross drains, head walls, laying and backfilling storm sewer pipes and water lines, driving piling, retaining wall work, erosion and traffic control maintenance. There are lane shifts eastbound and westbound on I-40. On December 5, 2014, there were transitions southbound and northbound on Canada Road shifting from two lanes to one lane.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Chelsea Avenue Overpass
Saturday, March 28 & Sunday, March 29, 7:00 a. m.-7:00 p. m.:

There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 westbound between mile marker 1 and 3 for repairs to the bridge and approaches at Chelsea Avenue. Two lanes will be CLOSED.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.:
Sunday, March 29 through Wednesday April 1, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m
: One left or one right lane of eastbound of westbound I-240 will be CLOSED for adjustments to roadway lighting and repairs to texture coating on median barrier. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:

Summer Avenue: The right westbound lane is CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue to allow for construction access.

Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Sam Cooper WB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange. One lane of northbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.

I-40 WB: The outside shoulder is closed from Sycamore View to the Wolf River Bridge for construction access.

Saturday, March 28 and Sunday March 29, each day from 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The following will have intermittent CLOSURES for pavement marking and barrier rail placement:

  • I-240 westbound between Sam Cooper and I-240 westbound flyover ramp

Look Ahead:
Beginning Saturday, April 11 at 6:00 a.m.

The following will have lane closures while crews shift traffic to new outside lanes. The shift will last approximately 4 months:

  • I-240 eastbound to I-40 eastbound ramp to Nashville

Saturday, April 11at 6:00 a.m. through Sunday, April 12 at 7:00 p.m.
The following will be CLOSED for paving:

  • I-40 eastbound ramp to Nashville

The work is weather dependent. Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent this work from occurring as scheduled, it will be rescheduled.

Truck traffic should use SR 385 as an alternate route. Detour maps and information will be provided on the project web site. http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/i40-240memphis/

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1 (US-51): Wednesday March 25 through Wednesday April 1: There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61): bridge repair project on State Route14 over I-55 and on South Parkway West over I-55.
Wednesday March 25 through Wednesday April 1: The north and southbound shoulders are closed for expansion joint repairs.

Friday, March 27 through Monday, March 30, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be intermittent lane closures on I-55 to switch traffic. Two lanes will be CLOSED, one lane will remain open. Exit 10 northbound I-55, ramp from South Parkway toward northbound I-55 CLOSED.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72): Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:
Wednesday, March 25
through Sunday, March 29: There will be intermittent lane closures on SR-177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits to Stout Road. The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

Monday, March 30 through Wednesday, April 1: State Route 177 will remain open with traffic flowing in one direction, both north and south. Crestridge will be CLOSED to reconstruct Crestridge at State Route 177. A detour will be utilized to maintain traffic flow to and from State Route 177.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie River. Traffic is reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane; a twelve (12’) lane will be maintained in each direction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Memphis-Arlington Road & Hall Creek. A traffic shift will cause traffic to move on both east and westbound bridges.

LOOK AHEAD: Beginning Monday April 6 through Saturday April 11: There will be temporary lane closures on State Route 385 eastbound left lane from log mile 9.5 to log mile 7.3 & westbound from log mile 6.2 to log mile 8.3 in order to install temporary tape and set barrier rails on the 4 bridges located at log mile 7.2 left and right (Hall Creek) & log mile 8.5 left and right (Memphis-Arlington Road).

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair and Concrete Barrier Rail Wednesday, March 25 through Friday, March 27, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. There will be one crew working the night schedule.

  • I-40, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound (MM 1C/6 to MM 7.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound & southbound (MM 1.8 to MM 4.8), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-3, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound (MM 27.1 to MM 27.4), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-14, Shelby County eastbound & westbound (MM 26.4 to MM 31.1), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-15, Shelby County eastbound & westbound (MM 18.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-205, Shelby County eastbound & westbound (MM 3.1), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound (MM 19.0 to MM 5.4), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound (MM 20.0 to M.M. 48.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-388, Shelby County eastbound & westbound (MM 1.5 to MM 2.5), one lane will remain open.

Monday, March 30 through Wednesday, April 1, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. There will be one crew working the night schedule.

Monday, March 30 through Thursday, April 2, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be day time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail. There will be one crew working the day schedule.

  • SR-14, Shelby County eastbound & westbound (MM 26.4 to MM 31.1), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound (MM 20.0 to M.M. 48.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-388, Shelby County eastbound & westbound (MM 1.5 to MM 2.5), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4 Retracing of Pavement Marking with Paint Wednesday March 25 through Wednesday April 1: There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:
Wednesday March 25
through Wednesday April 1, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. Weather Permitting.
