DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over Lewis Creek Canal. A signal system will be utilized. Speed limit has been reduced to 30 MPH. Beginning January 05, 2015, State Route 104 over Jones Creek at log mile 20.02, traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  State Route 104, bridge over the Obion River is CLOSED. Detour route will be posted.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday March 18 through Wednesday
March 25:
  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are open. The shoulders are closed on State Route 222.There will be possible lane closures for the duration of this project.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-193:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to State Route 194.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-196:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-64) State Route 15 to the junction of State Route 196 and Hickory Withe Road.

FAYETTE and HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-222:  A grading project on State Route 222 from north of I-40 to south of Camp Ground Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

FAYETTE and SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line. State Route 385 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction. The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection. State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64):  A widening project on State Route 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at State Route 76 and I-40 at the weigh station.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-88:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Edith-Nankipoo Road to State Route 210. Detour route will be posted.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley. There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MCNAIRY COUNTY-SR-57:  A bridge replacement project will cause a reduction in lanes in both directions on State Route 57 over Cypress Creek. Traffic is reduced to one lane, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-431:  Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the North Fork Obion River bridge to US-51 (State Route 3).

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:
Wednesday, March 18
through Wednesday, March 25: A lane will be closed on I-40 eastbound Exit 1 (to Riverside Drive and Front Street). Please note that the EXIT will remain open. It will just be a one-lane exit for a short duration and traffic exiting at this location can still go to either Riverside Drive or Front Street.

Wednesday March 18 through Wednesday, March 25: A lane will be closed on the I-40 westbound entrance ramp from Front Street. The ON RAMP will remain open for a single lane westbound access to the bridge. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:
Wednesday, March 18
through Wednesday, March 25:
The work zone will be shifted to the south side of the bridge. After the traffic shift the traffic configuration will be: Westbound traffic will be in two narrow lanes on the north side of the bridge. Eastbound traffic will be in two narrow lanes in the center of the bridge. Work zone will be in the two lanes on the south side of the bridge. Motorists are advised to slow down to 45 miles per hour through the work zone.

LOOK AHEAD: Thursday March 26: The contractor plans to shift the I-40 eastbound traffic from the two center lanes to the two outside lanes.

Monday, March 23
through Thursday, April 2, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m., excluding Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 a. m.-7:30 p. m.: There will be intermittent lane closure in the outside westbound lane only, for inspection of the two main arch truss spans.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road
Wednesday, March 18
through Wednesday, March 25:
I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. Currently there is dirt work, cross drains, head walls, laying and backfilling storm sewer pipes and water lines, driving piling, retaining wall work, erosion and traffic control maintenance. There are lane shifts eastbound and westbound on I-40. Beginning December 05, 2014, there are transitions southbound and northbound on Canada Road shifting from two lanes to one lane.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.:
Sunday, March 22 through Thursday, March 26, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m
: One left or one right lane of eastbound or westbound I-240 will be CLOSED from BOP to EOP for adjustments to roadway lighting and repairs to texture coating on median barrier. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:

Summer Avenue: The right westbound lane is CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue to allow for construction access.

Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Sam Cooper WB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange. One lane of northbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.

I-40 WB: The outside shoulder is closed from Sycamore View to the Wolf River Bridge for construction access.

Saturday, March 21 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
The following will be CLOSED for crews to install portable barrier rail for shoulder closures:

  • Left lane of I-40 westbound north of Summer Avenue (Exit 12 will remain open)
  • Right lane of I-40 westbound at Covington Pike (Exit 10 will remain open)

Saturday, March 21 6:00 a.m. through Sunday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m.
The following will be CLOSED for crews to safely install steel bridge beams

  • I-40 westbound ramp to Little Rock

The work is weather dependent. Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent this work from occurring as scheduled, it will be rescheduled.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1 (US-51): Wednesday March 18 through Wednesday March 25: There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61): bridge repair project on State Route14 over I-55 and on South Parkway West over I-55.

Wednesday March 18 through Wednesday March 25: The northbound and southbound shoulders are closed for expansion joint repairs.

Friday, March 20 through Monday, March 23, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be intermittent lane closures on I-55 to switch traffic. Two lanes will be CLOSED, one lane will remain open. Exit 10 northbound I-55, ramp from South Parkway toward northbound I-55 CLOSED.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72): Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:
Wednesday March 18
through Wednesday March 25: There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits (LM-1.65) to Stout Road (LM-2.40). The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie River. Traffic is reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane; a twelve (12’) lane will be maintained in each direction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Memphis-Arlington Road & Hall Creek. A traffic shift will cause traffic to move on both east and westbound bridges.

LOOK AHEAD: Beginning Monday April 6 through Saturday April 11: There will be temporary lane closures on State Route 385 eastbound left lane from log mile 9.5 to log mile 7.3 & westbound from log mile 6.2 to log mile 8.3 in order to install temporary tape and set barrier rails on the 4 bridges located at log mile 7.2 left and right (Hall Creek) & log mile 8.5 left and right (Memphis-Arlington Road).

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair and Concrete Barrier Rail Wednesday, March 18 through Friday, March 20, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, to repair damaged guardrail. There are 2 crews working. Weather Permitting.

 

  • I-40, Decatur County, eastbound & westbound (MM 122.5), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Haywood County eastbound & westbound (MM 53.95 to MM 60.00), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Madison County, eastbound & westbound (MM 69.9 to MM 86.4), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-20, Henderson County eastbound & westbound (MM 0.2), one lane will remain open.

Wednesday, March 18 through Tuesday March 24, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. There are 2 crews working. Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound (MM 1C/6 to MM 7.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound & southbound (MM 4.8 to MM 6.2), one lane will remain open.
