MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Work continues to seismically retrofit the I-40 Hernando DeSoto bridge over the Mississippi River.

Sunday, March 1 from 6:00 a.m. – Midnight the two entrance ramps to I-40 westbound at Front Street and Riverside Drive will be closed. The closure is needed to safely place bearings under the bridge for installation.

Traffic will be detoured to Danny Thomas Boulevard to enter I-40 westbound. Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent this work from occurring as scheduled, it will be rescheduled.
