Middle Tennessee Weekly Construction Lane Closure February 26-March 4, 2015

BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pull box installation and conduit proving/repairs.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Nashville Smartway ITS Expansion Project at Various Locations

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 westbound at MM 42 (between Old Hickory Blvd and Briley Pkwy) to install a CCTV lowering device and camera.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, Ridgely Road, and College Street for underground utility crossings.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Extension of Concrete Box Bridge on SR 109

  • From now through June 2015, Traffic will be reduced from two (2) lanes to one (1) lane on SR 109 northbound (S Broadway) at Jackson Road in Portland for concrete box bridge work. One lane will remain open. Message boards are in place.

 

SUMNER AND WILSON COUNTIES, On-Call Concrete Pavement Repair at Various Locations

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane shifts on SR 386 and Exit 3 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd Connector/Hendersonville) to replace concrete.
  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane shifts on the I-40 ramps at Exit 239 (US 70/SR 26 – Lebanon/Watertown) to replace concrete. 

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 1 PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions between MM 61 and MM 63 for blasting.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

TDOT Maintenance:

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, and Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, and Humphreys Counties

 

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee for tree trimming and removal on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Maury and Robertson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman and Humphreys Counties

 

Davidson County

  • Thursday February 26 through Wednesday March 4, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for drain cleaning operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday February 26, 9AM-3PM, All lanes of I-65 South between Briley Parkway (MM 90) and I-24 (MM 88) will be closed for pavement repairs. Traffic will be detoured. Message boards are in place.

 

Rutherford County

  • Thursday February 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 at Medical Center Pkwy, New Salem Road (SR 99) and S Church Street (US 231) so that S & W Contracting Co. can perform maintenance work on median lighting.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • From now through Friday March 20, 7PM to 6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd), from 32nd Street to 26th Street, in the City of Lakewood, in order for SBW Constructors to install new sewer services.
  • From now through Friday February 27, 9AM–3PM, There will be a lane closure on US 431 (SR 106/Hillsboro Pike) northbound, between Hemingway Drive and Tyne Blvd, in order for NES to replace two (2) poles on the outside lane.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

HCA 

  • From now through Wednesday April 29, 2015, 6AM, 10AM and/or 2PM, The on-ramp to I-40 westbound from Charlotte Avenue (downtown) will be closed for 5-10 minutes for blasting operations in the area. This will occur weekly, Tuesdays through Saturdays.

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.  Information in this report is provided to the Department of Transportation by the contractors.  Most work is weather dependent and subject to change due to inclement weather.
