BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through Saturday October 11, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Various Interstate and State Routes

  • Thursday September 18, 9AM-11AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 eastbound and westbound, between MM 25 and MM 31, so that the testing of striping may be done.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-65 over CSX Railroad, Rivergate Pkwy, Long Hollow Pike, E Cedar Street, & Mansker Creek

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 8PM-6AM, (excluding weekend), There will be lanes closures on I-65 northbound and southbound, from MM 96 to MM 99, so that joint repairs and milling may be done.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 254 (Old Hickory Boulevard) over Otter Creek

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 254 in order to perform guardrail and striping work.  Flaggers will be utilized.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of Interchange Lighting on SR 386 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd) at the Junction of Conference Drive

  • From now through Wednesday December 31, 7AM-4PM, There will be shoulder closures on SR 386 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd) at Conference Drive for installation of lighting.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 255 (Harding Place) from I-24 to US 41 (US 70S/SR 1/Murfreesboro Road)

  • Sunday September 21 through Wednesday September 24, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 255 so that milling may be done.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Removal and Replacement of HOV Signing & Markings on Various Interstate and State Routes

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on the I-40 on-ramps, between Old Hickory Blvd and Donelson Pike, for drilling and pouring ground-mounted footings.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pull box installation and conduit proving/repairs.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Local Programs Project (Metro Public Works)

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 25, 8AM-4PM, The right lane of Harding Place eastbound will be closed from Danby Drive to Timberhill Drive in order to install sidewalks.

 

HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 from the Benton County Line to the Hickman County Line, Including Bridge Repair

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 8PM-6AM, (including weekend), I-40 will be reduced to one lane in both directions, from MM 135 to MM 148, in order to installing bridge joints, striping and general clean up. Troopers will be utilized.
  • Friday September 19, 8PM through Monday September 22, 6AM, I-40 will be reduced to one lane in both directions, from MM 140 to MM 142, in order to install bridge joints and general clean up.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 50 from SR 99/James Campbell Blvd to the TS Railroad

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 9AM-3PM and 6PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 50 for milling operations, loop installation, and possible guardrail removal. 

 

MAURY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 from North of SR 243 Connector to North of SR 50

  • Thursday September 18 through Thursday September 24, 9AM-3PM and 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 for milling and paving operations.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Local Programs Project

  • Saturday, September 20, 7AM to 5PM, The two westbound lanes of SR 50 (W James Campbell Blvd) will be closed at the intersection of SR 243 (Trotwood Avenue) in order to perform intersection improvements. Westbound traffic will be diverted into one eastbound lane (left lane). Eastbound traffic will be diverted into the remaining eastbound lane (right lane). All traffic will be redirected into normal lanes of travel at the next crossover of Experiment Station Lane (approximately 100 LF). Message boards and troopers will be utilized.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, Ridgely Road, and College Street for underground utility crossings.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during trench and bore pit blasting operations near the roadway and paving operations.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday September 18, 8PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 in both directions at SR 248 (Peytonsville Road/Goose Creek Bypass), MM 61.0, for sawing concrete and preparing for removal of bridge.
  • Friday September 19, 8PM through Monday September 22, 5AM, I-65 will be closed in both directions at SR 248 (Peytonsville Road/Goose Creek Bypass), MM 61.0, in order to take down and remove the existing bridge.
  • Tuesday September 23 and Wednesday September 24, 1 PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions between MM 61 and MM 63 for blasting.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Drainage Improvements on I-65S

Look Ahead:

  • Friday September 26 at 8PM through Monday September 29 at 5AM, There will be lane closures on I-65 southbound at MM 66 for drainage improvements. Three lanes will remain open.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Removal and Replacement of HOV Signing & Markings on Various Interstate and State Routes

  • Wednesday September 24 and Thursday September 25, 8PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 in both directions, between MM 62 and MM 78, for HOV striping.
  • Friday September 26 at 8PM through Monday September 29 at 5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 in both directions, between MM 62 and MM 78, for HOV striping.

 

Longitudinal Joint Stabilization on Various State Routes

Bedford County

  • Wednesday September 24 through Thursday September 25, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 eastbound and westbound, from the Bedford-Rutherford County line to the SR 82 JCT, in order to apply joint stabilization. One lane will remain open in each direction.

Giles County

  • Tuesday September 23 through Wednesday September 24, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 15 (Fayetteville Hwy) eastbound and westbound, from the beginning of US 64 bypass to Buchanan Creek, in order to apply joint stabilization. One lane will remain open in each direction.

Maury County

  • Thursday September 18 and Friday September 19, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 eastbound and westbound, from west of Denning Lane (MM 30) to the Williamson County line, in order to apply joint stabilization. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Monday September 22 through Tuesday September 23, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 7 eastbound and westbound, from Snow Creek Road to the Hickman County Line, in order to apply joint stabilization. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

Miscellaneous Safety Improvements on Various State Routes

Bedford County*

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 6AM – 8PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 269, from Fairfield Pike to SR 64 in Wartrace, order to install various safety improvements and perform the grinding of rumble strips.

Lincoln County*

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 6 AM – 8 PM, There will be temporary lane closures on US 231 (SR 10), from north of Warden Road in Fayetteville to the Lincoln-Moore County line, in order to install various safety improvements and perform the grinding of rumble strips. 

Marshall County*

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 6AM – 8PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 99, from SR 11 near Chapel Hill to SR 16 near Eagleville in Rutherford County, in order to install various safety improvements and perform the grinding of rumble strips.
  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 6AM – 8PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 272, from Lewisburg city limits to Anes Station Road, in order to install various safety improvements and perform the grinding of rumble strips. 

*Most closures will involve shoulder work; however, temporary closures of one lane with flagging operation will be used when shoulder is too narrow to permit safe travel.  Striping will utilize mobile operations.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Wednesday September 24 and Thursday September 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 840 in both directions, from Veterans Parkway to Jefferson Pike, so that milling and paving may be done.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, and Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, and Humphreys Counties

 

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee for tree trimming and removal on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Maury and Robertson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman and Humphreys Counties

 

Bedford County

  • Friday September 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 130, between Whiteside Hill Road and Gaither Road, to replace a 15” cross drain.  One lane will be open at all times. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

Davidson County

  • Thursday September 18 through Wednesday September 24, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for drain cleaning operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday September 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 11 (Nolensville Road) at Holt Road (MM 1.2) to mill and pave the roadway. Temporary traffic signals will be used for traffic control.
  • Thursday September 18, 8PM-5AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 southbound, between I-440 and Harding Place, to mill raised pavement sections.
  • Tuesday September 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on Briley Parkway eastbound at County Hospital Road for shoulder work. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • Saturday September 20 through Sunday September 21, 6AM-6PM, There will be lane closures on SR 6 (Franklin Pike) southbound at the Caldwell Lane intersection in order for Metro Water Department to install (4) water valves. Police officers will be utilized.
  • Monday September 22 through Friday September 26, 9AM–3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 11 (Nolensville Road) at the Wingrove Street intersection in order for NES to replace four existing poles & anchors.
  • Tuesday September 23 through Wednesday September 24, 7PM–6AM, There will be lane closures on SR 11 (Nolensville Pike) northbound at the Radnor Street intersection in order for Metro Water & Sewer to renew water line service.
  • From now through Friday September 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be shoulder work and temporary lane closures on SR 112 (Clarksville Pike), from Westport Drive to Creasy Drive, in order for NES to perform oiling and switch maintenance.
  • From now through Tuesday September 30, 7PM–6AM, There will be lane closures in the 4000 block of SR 106 (Hillsboro Pike) in Green Hills in order for Jarrett Builders to install 8” water main, 10” & 8” sewer main, and two public fire hydrants.
  • From now through Tuesday September 30, 7PM-6AM, There will be lane closures in the 2000 block of SR 106 (Broadway) in order for NES to remove overhead aerial cable to be converted to underground due to construction.
  • From now through Friday October 31, 7PM–6AM, There will be lane closures on SR 1 (Murfreesboro Road), from Menzler Lane to Fesslers Lane, in order for Piedmont Natural Gas to open cut and install a 6” gas main.
