BLOUNT COUNTY, SR 162 West near Cusick Road: SR 162 is reduced to one lane near Cusick Road as crews perform work on this SIA project.  This lane reduction will remain in effect through November 2014. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North near Mile Marker 144:  Beginning Monday, September 15, 2014, motorists should be alert for possible daily lane closures approaching this area between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. as crews perform overhead bridge repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

CARTER COUNTY, SR 362 Gap Creek Road between SR 361 and SR 67: Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, narrow lanes, temporary traffic diversions and possible lane closures at various times through this project. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and use extreme caution in this area.

COCKE/JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 25E/SR 32 Bridge over the French Broad River:  Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this bridge construction project near the Cocke and Jefferson County line. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

COCKE/JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 411/SR 35 at US 25W:  Motorists should be alert for a new traffic patterns and lane shifts through this project.  Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this construction project. GREENE COUNTY, SR 35 between Bright Hope Road and SR 70: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

GREENE COUNTY, SR 351 between SR 350 and SR 70: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

GREENE COUNTY, SR 340 at Bewley’s Bridge near Log Mile 0.5: Motorists should be alert for alternating lane closures in place, workers present and use extreme caution through this bridge repair project.

GREENE COUNTY, SR 351 Bridge over Camp Creek at Log Mile 8.1: SR 351 near Log Mile 8.1 is reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal as crews perform bridge repairs. Due to the reduced bridge width, loads in excess of nine (9) feet in width must use an alternate route. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions, be prepared to stop and use extreme caution in this area.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, SR 32/US 25E near College Park Drive: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures at various times and changing conditions through this project. 

HAMBLEN COUNTY, SR 160 at Merchants Greene: Motorists should be alert for lane shifts near this intersection as crews perform work through this bridge construction project.  Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and use extreme caution in this area.

HANCOCK COUNTY, SR 70/SR 33 Interchange: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures at various times during daylight hours through this bridge construction project.  Motorists should be alert for reduced speeds and use extreme caution in this area.

HAWKINS COUNTY, SR 1 between Carter’s Valley Road and Tipton Avenue: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

HAWKINS COUNTY, SR 346 between Log Miles 2.5 and 6: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures during daylight hours through this utility project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-40 East and West Bridge over the French Broad River near Mile Marker 425: I-40 East and West across the bridge over Douglas Lake near Mile Marker 425 is reduced to one lane in each direction as crews continue this bridge rehabilitation project.  These lane reductions will be in place around the clock for approximately two years.  Motorists should be alert for lane shifts and narrowed lanes in this area.  Traffic loads in excess of 12 feet in width will be prohibited and must follow a detour route.  The wide load detour will be US 25/SR 9 between Exits 424 and 432. Motorists should expect potential delays in this area during peak travel times.  Local traffic should consider using US 25/SR 9 as an alternate route during peak travel periods.  I-81 and I-26 may be used as an alternate route for I-40 “thru traffic” to by-pass this project during peak travel periods. JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 25W Bridge over the French Broad River and SR 113 Ramps at I-40: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures with flag personnel directing traffic at various times through this area as crews receive materials associated with the adjacent I-40 bridge repair project.  Motorists should be alert for equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-275 North Ramp to I-640 West and SR 9 (Clinton Highway): Motorists should be alert for lane shifts and width reductions across this bridge as crews perform bridge repairs.  Trucks and buses should follow alternate routes.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-275 North and South underneath Ramp Bridge to SR 9 (Clinton Highway): Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures on Sundays through Thursdays between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform overhead bridge repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, possible delays and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 West between I-140 (Exit 376) and Lovell Road (Exit 374): On Sunday, September 14, 2014 through Thursday, September 18, 2014, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures nightly between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning as crews mill, resurface and shift traffic in this area. Motorists should be alert for lane closures, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this ramp extension project.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East Weigh Station Ramp Improvement Project: Motorists should be alert for traffic shifts, workers present, slow traffic, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, SR 62 (Oak Ridge Hwy. /Western Ave.) between Schaad Road and Copper Kettle Road: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures at various times throughout this widening project.  Motorists traveling in this area should be alert for workers and equipment present and be alert for changing traffic conditions, detours, traffic shifts and use caution through this area. Woodsmith Road at SR 62 is closed to thru traffic for construction. The following roads are currently closed to thru traffic for construction: Shortt Road at Western Avenue; South Hinton Road between Western Avenue and Third Creek Road; Jimmy Carter Road at Western Avenue and Beaver Ridge Road at Western Avenue.  A short section of Ball Camp Pike between Western Avenue and Goldenrod Street is also closed for construction.  Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and follow signed detour routes. KNOX COUNTY, SR 9/US 25 Clinton Highway between Jenso Road and Anderson County Line: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures nightly on Sunday through Thursday between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, SR 33 Maynardville Highway between Temple Acres Drive and the Union County Line:  Motorists should be alert for slowed traffic and use caution in this area.  Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times as work continues through this widening project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, traffic shifts and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, SR 131 Emory Road between Gill Road and Clinton Highway: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this widening project for bridge construction, utility and equipment crossings.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, Ebenezer Road at North Westland Drive: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily through this intersection improvement project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, changing conditions and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, I-40 West near Mile Markers 363.8: On Thursday, September 11, 2014, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 North and South between Mile Marker 60 and the Tennessee River (MM 74): Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures nightly on Sunday through Thursday between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Markers 84 and 79.4: On Thursday, September 11, 2014, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73 between SR 2 and City Park Drive: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures at various times through this project. Motorists should be alert for changing conditions, workers present, construction equipment and use extreme caution through this area.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 West near Mile Marker 341: Beginning, Sunday, September 14, 2014, I-40 West will be reduced to one lane near Mile Marker 341 as crews begin repairs to the bridge over Oakdale/Blackwood Road.  Motorists should be alert for alternating lane closures to remain in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through October 31, 2014.  Traffic loads in excess of 16 feet in width will be prohibited through this area.  Motorists should be alert for slow traffic and expect potential delays through this project.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East between Mile Markers 340 and 347: On Monday, September 15, 2014 through Tuesday, September 23, 2014, excluding weekends, motorists should be alert for possible daily lane closures between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through this area as maintenance crews perform slope mowing activities.  Motorists should reduce speeds, be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

SCOTT COUNTY, SR 63 between Rock Branch Loop (LM 2.58) and the Campbell County Line (LM 13.6): Motorists should be alert for lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution through this area.

SCOTT COUNTY, SR 456 between Log Mile 8 and Log Mile 10: Motorists should be alert for lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution through this area.

SEVIER COUNTY, I-40 East and West near Mile Marker 407: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary nightly lane closures in both directions between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews shift traffic in this area for overhead bridge work. Motorist should be alert for lane shifts and changed conditions in this area. Motorists should expect potential delays, use extreme caution and be alert for possible slowed traffic approaching this area. 

SEVIER COUNTY, SR 66 over I-40 at Exit 407: Motorists should be alert for possible nightly lane closures through this area.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

SEVIER COUNTY, SR 66 in Sevierville SR 139 (Douglas Dam Rd.) and SR 338 W (Boyd’s Creek Hwy):  On Monday, September 15, 2014 through Thursday, September 18, 2014, motorists should be alert for nightly lane closures in both directions through this project between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform grade work for roadway widening. Motorists should be alert for short duration traffic stops in both directions which may occur daily Monday through Friday through this project for utility crossings. SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-26 East and West near Mile Marker 1: On Wednesday, September 17, 2014, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as crews perform bridge inspections. SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-81 North between Mile Markers 62 and 66: On Monday, September 15, 2014 through Wednesday, September 17, 2014, motorists should be alert for possible lane closures between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as crews perform roadway repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-81 North and South near Mile Marker 60: On Wednesday, September 17, 2014 and Thursday, September 18, 2014, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as crews perform bridge inspections. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, US 11E/SR 34 at US 19E/SR 37: A temporary detour of SR 37/US19E is in place at the intersection of SR 34/US 11E. Traffic signals have been installed and are operational at the intersection of SR34/37 and SR37/44. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and follow signed detours. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution through this bridge construction and intersection reconstruction project.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 126 between West Center Street and Clinchfield Street: Motorists should be alert for possible daily lane closures in this area between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. as crews perform utility work.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 36 between Fort Henry Drive and Wilcox Drive: Motorists should be alert for nightly lane closures on Sunday through Thursday between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews complete final items through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, US11W at various locations in Kingsport: Motorists should be alert for possible daily lane closures in this area between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. as crews perform utility work.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 34 between SR 44 and Bristol City Limits: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures and lane shifts through this project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

UNICOI COUNTY, SR 107 at Main Street:  Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures, use extreme caution and be alert for construction personnel and equipment entering and exiting this construction project.

UNION COUNTY, Existing SR 33 Bridge over Clinch River (Norris Lake) Weight Restrictions:  The existing State Route 33 Bridge over Norris Lake is posted with weight limit restrictions and is being strictly enforced.  Weight restrictions are: 5 axle vehicles are 35 tons; 3 or 4 axle vehicle is 22 tons; 2 axle vehicles are 20 tons.  VEHICLES WEIGHING IN EXCESS OF THE RESTRICTED WEIGHTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE BRIDGE AND MUST FOLLOW A DETOUR ROUTE. Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures with flaggers directing traffic at various times and use extreme caution approaching the bridge.

WASHINGTON/SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-26 East and West at SR 75 (Exit 13) Interchange Improvement Project: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures approaching this area between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform overhead bridge work.  Motorists should be alert for sudden stops, slowed traffic and use extreme caution in this area.  Motorists should be alert for changing conditions, shoulder closures with portable concrete barrier rail through this interchange modification project.  Motorists should use extreme caution and expect potential delays when traveling through this area.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, SR 36 between SR 354 and SR 75: Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, possible lane closures and flag persons directing traffic at various times through this project.  Orchard Avenue is closed.  Traffic is still shifted at Spurgeon Island Road.  Traffic will also be shifted from Boone Avenue to Boring Chapel Road.  From Boone Avenue to near Hammitt Road will be split traffic separated by a barrier wall.  Short duration traffic stops in both directions may occur daily through this project for utility and equipment crossings.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.
