NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Correction’s Director of Communication Dorinda Carter has announced her resignation.  After serving the State of Tennessee for more than 8 years, Ms. Carter is continuing her public service by taking a position with the Office of the Davidson County District Attorney-Elect Glenn Funk. According to Commissioner Derrick Schofield, “Dorinda Carter was instrumental in the expansion of our communications team to include our Central Communications Center in addition to media relations, inmate correspondence and web/social media management. Her leadership and tireless dedication will be missed.”  Dorinda’s last day will be August 22.

Neysa Taylor will be the new Director of Communications.  During her time as Public Information Officer, Neysa has shown that she has the ability to lead the communications team and be an asset to the executive leadership team.  She can be reached at Neysa.Taylor@TN.gov or at 615-253-8151.
