CARROLL COUNTY, SR-105:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Gibson County line to State Route 190.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over an overflow and the Big Sandy River.  Wednesday August 20 through Wednesday August 27:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ lane restriction and there is a 40’ length restriction for vehicles during construction.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over the Rutherford Fork Obion River and overflows.  Wednesday August 20 through Wednesday August 27:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 9.5’ lane restriction.

CROCKETT COUNTY, SR-189:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 88 to US-412 State Route 20.  Flagger will be present.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR-20 (US-412):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Wilkinstown Road/Bear Creek Road to State Route 69.

DYER COUNTY, I-155Bridge repair (2) over overflow right & left.  Beginning Monday August 11 through Tuesday September 2:  There will be lane closures in both directions on I-155, for installation of concrete barrier rail.  There will also be a 13’ width restriction in both directions.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over Lewis Creek Canal.  A signal system will be utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-211:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 77 to State Route 105.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday August 20 through Wednesday August 27:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are CLOSED.

Saturday August 23, 7:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  Eastbound I-40 will be closed for the removal of barrier rail, texture coating, and placement of rip-rap adjacent to the shoulders.  Eastbound traffic will use the ramps to traverse the closure.   State Route 222 will be CLOSED to thru traffic.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

Sunday August 24, 7:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  Westbound I-40 will be closed for removal of barrier rail, texture coating, and placement of rip-rap adjacent to the shoulders.  Westbound traffic will use the ramps to traverse the closure.   State Route 222 will be CLOSED to thru traffic.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line. State Route 385 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction.  The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection.  State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-104:  A widening project from west of State Route 188 to Milligan Lane and Gumwoods Road will result in temporary lane closures each day.  Roadway was open to 4-lane traffic August 11, 2014.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-18:  Construction of a concrete box beam bridge and paving on State Route 18 over Cypress Creek.  Wednesday August 20 through Wednesday August 27:  Roadway is OPEN to traffic but there will be possible lane closures southbound and northbound on State Route 18, for the duration of the project.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-57:  Miscellaneous safety improvements at the intersection of State Route 57 & State Route 142, will result in temporary lane closures each day.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction for the West Tennessee Solar Farm and Welcome Center, including removal of Albright Road bridge.  Wednesday August 20 through Wednesday August 27:  There are no scheduled closures.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at the intersection of State Route 76 & I-40 at the weigh station Wednesday August 20 through Wednesday August 27:  There are no scheduled closures.

HAYWOOD/LAUDERDALE COUNTIES,  SR-180:  There will be temporary lane closures at various locations on State Route 180, for striping and installation of snowplowable markers.  Flaggers are present.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the I-40 Bridge to the Carroll County Line.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR20 (US 412) to Jane Street.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-69 (US-641):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 69A to US-79 (State Route 76).

LAKE COUNTY, SR-22:  A widening project on State Route 22, south of State Route 21 in Tiptonville to existing State Route 22 (Cates Landing Rd.).  There are lane shifts throughout the project.  State Route 22 is closed from intersection of State Route 212 and Vaughn Road North to Cates Landing Road. Detour 3.5 miles on Vaughn Road to State Route 22 Cates Landing Road.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley.  There will be temporary lane closures daily.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-209:
LOOK AHEAD:  Wednesday September 3
, 9:00 a. m.-2:00 p. m.:  Roadway will be CLOSED at log mile 3.33, for replacement of drainage pipe.  Detour route will be posted.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project over Gilmers Creek.  There will be lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on State Route 1, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 11’ lane restriction. 

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project over Royal Street and West Tennessee Railroad. The outside lanes will be closed, reducing traffic down to 2-12 foot lanes, 1 eastbound and 1 westbound, also workers will be present under the bridge, repairing cracks.  Motorists should use caution while traveling through construction zone.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-5:  A bridge repair project over Middle Fork Forked Deer River.  There will be workers under the bridge making repairs.  Motorists should use caution while traveling through construction zone.

MADISON COUNTY, (SR-1, SR-18, SR-20, SR-138 SR-152 SR-186, SR-198, SR-223):
Thursday August 21 through Wednesday August 27, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: 
There will be possible “rolling” lane closures on various State Routes, for retracing of painted pavement markings.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:
Wednesday August 20
through Wednesday August 27:  The exit ramp for westbound Interstate 40 to Second Street, will be closed for about six months.  The Exit ramp from Westbound I-40 to Riverside Drive has been narrowed to 14 feet, “wide loads” are restricted from using this.  The Entrance ramp from Riverside Drive to I-40 Eastbound has been narrowed to 12 feet and “wide loads” are restricted from using this. 

Beginning Monday, July 28, 9:00 a. m.:  EXIT 1 – which is the first eastbound exit to Riverside Drive and Front Street will be CLOSED for approximately 20 days.  A detour route will be posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:
Wednesday August 20
through Wednesday August 27:  Traffic will remain in the current configuration until mid-September 2014.  Traffic on the bridge is configured as follows: work zone on the north side of the bridge, 2 lanes westbound traffic in the center of the bridge and 2 lanes eastbound traffic on south side of the bridge.  Two lanes will remain open in each direction.  Lane closures on the I-40 bridge will be required until approximately December 2014.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road
Wednesday August 20
through Wednesday August 27:  I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.  There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.:  Wednesday August 20 through Wednesday August 27:  A widening project on I-240 will cause temporary lane closures.  The permanent ramps on the west side of I-240 at Walnut Grove have been opened as well as a portion of the new CD road on westbound I-240 is in use.  The permanent ramp from westbound Poplar to eastbound I-240 has also been opened and traffic is using a portion of the CD road on eastbound I-240.  A traffic phase change will begin

Saturday August 23, 6:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  One right lane of I-240 eastbound will be CLOSED between MM 15.5 and MM 14.5, for the removal of barrier rail on mainline eastbound I-240 between Park Ave. and the entrance ramp from westbound Poplar to enter eastbound I-240.  Weather Permitting.

Monday August 25 & Tuesday August 26, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures for the temporary restriping of mainline eastbound I-240 to the future permanent lane position.  This closure will entail first closing 2 left lanes and restripe and then swap traffic to close the 2 right lanes.  Please note these closures will not run simultaneously.  One lane will be open at all times.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements  Wednesday August 13 through Wednesday August 20:  Modification of the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Beginning Monday February 10:  The right lane of eastbound Summer Avenue was CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue, for the installation of portable barrier rail to allow for construction of Abutment 1/Wall 12.  This will be a permanent lane closure.

Saturday August 23 & Sunday August 24, 6:30 a. m.-5:30 p. m.:  The existing closed right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound will be OPENED and shift traffic to the right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound.  Remove existing approach traffic control as necessary to make this traffic change.  The left and center lanes of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound will be CLOSED, beginning west of exit 10A and the White Station Road overpass, to allow for installation of portable concrete barrier rail and construction barrels for Exit 10A will remain open at all times.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:  The I-55 Welcome Center is CLOSED due to construction of a new facility.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1 (US-51):  There will be temporary lane closures on State Route 1 between mile marker 31.5- 29.5 in both directions, for milling and installation of signal loops between Crump Boulevard. and Union Avenue.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A replacement of the bridge over Illinois Central Railroad from South Parkway to McLemore Avenue.  Roadway is CLOSED, a detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-15:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Bartlett Boulevard to the Bridge over Fletcher Creek.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:
Wednesday August 20
through Wednesday August 27There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits (log mile 1.65) to Stout Road (log mile 2.40).  The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-204:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Raleigh-LaGrange Road to State Route 14.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie River log mile 9.58 left & right.  Traffic will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane; a twelve (12’) lane will be maintained in each direction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair  Monday August 25 through Thursday August 28, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, to repair damaged guardrail.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Shelby County, eastbound (MM 7.9), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County, westbound & eastbound (MM 18.8 to MM 25.5), one lane will remain open.  Also, this will include a partial ramp closure @ the I-240 eastbound “On” Ramp from Airways Blvd.
  • I-240, Shelby County, southbound at I-55, one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Retracing of Pavement Marking with Paint:  Wednesday August 20 through Wednesday August 27:  There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT REGION 4, Relensing of Snowplowable Markers:  Wednesday August 20 & Thursday August 21, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, for placement of snowplowable markers.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Benton County, westbound (MM133.0 to MM 125.9), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Haywood County, westbound (MM 43.11 to MM 67.00), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson County, westbound (MM 94.95 to MM 119.58), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Madison County, westbound (MM 67.0 to MM 94.5), one lane will remain open.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:
Wednesday August 20
through Wednesday August 27, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.:  There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.  Weather Permitting.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the ramp from State Route 431 to north of the ramp from State Route 43.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-217:  Resurfacing work will cause intermittent lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 22 to State Route 89.
