2014 Waterfowl Blind Permit August 2 Drawing Sites

NASHVILLE ---The annual hand-drawn duck blind drawings will be held at the regular sites across the state on Saturday, August 2. 

Registration for the 2014 drawings will be held from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. and the drawings will begin at 10 a.m. at most locations. For more information, visit the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency website, by clicking here.

Barkley WMA: Stewart County High School
Reelfoot WMA: Reelfoot Lake State Park Visitor Center
Tigrett WMA: Dyer County Fairgrounds
Gooch WMA: Obion City Park

TWRA Region II

AEDC/Woods: Morris Ferry Bank Fishing Park 
Cheatham Lake WMA: Cheatham WMA Check Station
Haynes Bottom WMA: Haynes Bottom WMA Shop, Woodlawn
Old Hickory WMA: James E. Ward Agriculture Center, Lebanon

While hand drawings will be held for the majority of the locations, a computerized drawing system for blind sites on Bogota and Thorny Cypress Wildlife Management Areas in Dyer County. Gooch Unit E, Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park, White Oak (Lebanon Pond area) and the four units on the Chickamauga WMA (Candies Creek, Johnson Bottoms, Rogers Creek, and Yellow Creek) will again be conducted for this season. The application period is Sept. 3-Sept. 24 for these areas, a change from last year.

The 2014-15 state waterfowl seasons will be set at the August 28-29 meeting of the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission. The August meeting will be held in Jackson at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center.
