All Lanes from State Route 96 to State Route 6 Open to Traffic

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer joined state and local officials today to celebrate the opening of Mack Hatcher Memorial Parkway (State Route 397) in Williamson County.

The widening project that stretched from south of State Route 96 to State Route 6 was completed and the route was open to traffic in May, but contract crews continued on striping, landscaping, signage and other incidental work in the weeks that followed.

Construction started on this nearly three-mile section of Mack Hatcher Parkway in September 2011. The $23.4 million dollar project widened the route from two to four lanes, and added double left turn lanes at major intersections and an adjacent pathway for pedestrians and bicyclists.
