Nashville Crime Stoppers, Shred-It and the TN Division of Consumer Affairs Host Community Shred Day

NASHVILLE – Nashville Crime Stoppers, Shred-It and the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance’s Division of Consumer Affairs are hosting a Community Shred Event event on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at LP Field, parking lot D. VIN etching, electronic waste disposal, and pharmaceutical disposal drop off locations are also provided during Community Shred Day.

Nashville Crime Stopper’s urges individuals to protect themselves from identity theft crimes by destroying personal documentation that contains private identification information. Shred-It, is partnering with Nashville Crime Stoppers, by donating their high speed, mobile, cross shredder. All shredded material will be recycled so you will also help protect the environment.

Nashville Crime Stoppers suggests a $5 per box donation for paper shredding and a $10 donation for VIN etching. All donations benefit Nashville Crime Stoppers Reward Fund. Nashville Crime Stoppers is a 501 (C) not for profit organization. All donations are tax deductible and receipts will be made available.
