"All Things Agriculture” Subject for TWRA’s Nature @ Noontime Program

NASHVILLE --- Debbie Joines, from the University of Tennessee Soil, Plant, and Pest Center, will speak on “All Things Agriculture” at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s April Nature @ Noontime program. The program will be held from noon-1 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 at the TWRA Region II Ray Bell Building.

Mrs. Joines will talk about soil testing, forage analysis, plant disease diagnostics and insect identification services for homeowners and farmers alike. She has been with the UT Extension Services at Ellington Agriculture Center for 24 years, including the past six as extension assistant to the manager. She has been a Middle Tennessee resident for most of her life and her family has a small farm in Wilson County. She has degrees in plant and soil sciences, and agriculture and natural resources.

Hosted by the Information and Education Division, Nature @ Noontime is held the first Thursday of each month with the exception of July. TWRA Nature @ Noontime presentations are about natural resources related topics and last about 30-45 minutes, allowing time for discussion during the allotted lunch hour.
