Edible Wild Plants Subject for March Nature @ Noontime

NASHVILLE --- “Edible Wild Plants” will be the topic for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s March Nature @ Noontime program. The program will be held from noon-1 p.m. on Thursday, March 6 at the TWRA Region II Ray Bell Building.

Pandy English, TWRA’s Stream Flow Coordinator, will be the speaker for the presentation. The presentation will include indicating the plants that are common in yards and along hiking trails. Correct wild plant foraging techniques will be addressed. Other uses of wild plants, such as crafts and for medicines, will also be discussed.

Hosted by the Information and Education Division, Nature @ Noontime is held the first Thursday of each month with the exception of July. TWRA Nature @ Noontime presentations are about natural resources related topics and last about 30-45 minutes, allowing time for discussion during the allotted lunch hour.
