Concert, Comedy to Be a Part of 2014 Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt Weekend
NASHVILLE --- A country music concert featuring The Kentucky Headhunters along with special guests Daryle Singletary and comedian Killer Beaz will be part of the 2014 Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt Weekend. The concert will be held on Friday, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center in Franklin.
General admission tickets continue to be on sale for the concert and are $25 each. The tickets may be purchased through the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation website by clicking here or by calling (615) 831-9311, ext. 114. Tickets will also be available at the door the evening of the show for $30.
The Kentucky Headhunters have won three Country Music Association awards, an Academy of Country Music award, and a Grammy Award for Best Country Duo or Group with Vocal. Originally founded in 1968, the veteran group has been known under its current name since 1986. They have released seven studio albums in their long career.
Daryle Singletary is an avid turkey hunter and long-time supporter of the Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt. Singletary has charted 14 singles, including the hits I Let Her Lie and Amen Kind of Love which each made it to all the way to No. 2 nationally and Too Much Fun which climbed the charts to No. 4.
Killer Beaz has performed all over the country and his “high-energy, everyman-style” humor has appealed to audiences from Anchorage to Miami. The Mississippi native has made numerous appearances on television and radio shows.
The Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt annually attracts hunters and outdoors enthusiasts. Proceeds benefit the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation and various outreach programs of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
