BEP Task Force to Have First Meeting to Discuss School Funding

WHAT:

The task force charged with studying Tennessee’s state education funding formula will meet for the first time next week at the capitol. Gov. Haslam appointed this task force to take a fresh look at the Basic Education Program, or BEP, which underwent its last significant revision seven years ago. The purpose of this task force is to review the distribution of available resources in a responsible manner.
