BENTON COUNTY, SR-191 over I-40: Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  There will be possible lane closures in both directions on State Route 191.  At present there is a lane shift/closures eastbound and westbound I-40 at mile marker 133.0.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over an overflow and the Big Sandy River. Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ lane restriction.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over the Rutherford Fork Obion River and overflows.  Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 9.5’ lane restriction.

CHESTER COUNTY, SR-22:  Bridge Repair on State Route 22 over Dry Creek at the intersection of Willis Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  A signal system is active and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 11’ lane restriction.  A detour will be put in place for Willis Road during the lane closure.

CROCKETT/GIBSON COUNTY, SR-188:  Construction of five (5) concrete box beam bridges on State Route 188 at the Crockett/Gibson County line.  The roadway is CLOSED with a detour route posted.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over overflow log mile 19.67.  A signal system will be utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are CLOSED.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-194:  Six (6) bridges are being replaced on State Route 194 between State Route 57 and State Route 15 (US-64).  Motorists should watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zones.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-194:  Temporary lane closures are possible for the installation of safety improvements on State Route 194 in Fayette County.  Currently performing final cleanup.  A flagman will be onsite to direct traffic.

FAYETTE COUNTY SR-196:  Temporary lanes closures are possible for the installation of safety improvements on State Route 196 in Fayette County.  A flagman will be on site to direct traffic when the new signs are being installed.

FAYETTE and SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line.  The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection.  State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median.  Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zone and also crossing the roadway.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-104:  A widening project from west of State Route 188 to Milligan Lane and Gumwoods Road will result in temporary lane closures each day.  Traffic has been shifted from east of State Route 188 to the proposed eastbound lanes.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-18:  Construction of a concrete box beam bridge and paving on State Route 18 over Cypress Creek.  Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  There will be lane closures north and southbound with a temporary signal in place.  One lane will remain open, in each direction.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction for the West Tennessee Solar Farm and Welcome Center, including removal of Albright Road bridge. Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  There are no scheduled closures.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at the intersection of State Route 76 & I-40 at the weigh station ramps. Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  There are no scheduled lane closures.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-22:  A widening project on State Route 22, south of State Route 21 in Tiptonville to existing State Route 22 (Cates Landing Rd.).  There are lane shifts throughout the project.  State Route 22 is closed from intersection of State Route 212 and Vaughn Road North to Cates Landing Road. Detour 3.5 miles on Vaughn Road to State Route 22 Cates Landing Road.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-3:  Bridge Repair (2) on US-51 (State Route 3) over Chambers Branch.  Traffic is reduced to one lane with a 10’ 6” lane restriction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley.  There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1): A bridge repair project over Gilmers Creek. Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  There will be lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on State Route 1, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane with an 11’ lane restriction.  A temporary signal was activated on January 22, 2014.

MADISON COUNTY, (SR-5): A bridge repair project over Middle Fork Forked Deer River.  Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  Shoulders are closed in both the northbound and southbound direction.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:  The I-55 Welcome Center is CLOSED due to construction of a new facility.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8: Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  The left (inside) shoulder of the exit ramp for westbound Interstate 40 to Second Street is closed. The exit ramp from westbound I-40 to Riverside Drive has been narrowed to 14 feet (a small portion of the left shoulder and lane is blocked) and “wide loads” are restricted from using this.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9: Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  Eastbound lane of I-40 is closed. The closure is required for safe access and egress for seismic retrofit on the Arkansas approach of the Hernando DeSoto Bridge.  Contractor is reconstructing foundations, columns and pier caps under the bridge approach structure.  The lane closure is anticipated to remain in place until June 2014.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Memphis Smartway Transportation (ITS) I-40 beginning at SR-177 (Germantown Road) in Shelby County extending to Braden Road Overpass in Fayette County: Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY-Annual Preventative and Unscheduled Maintenance of the Memphis I. T. S. System Equipment, including the TMC Thursday February 6 & Friday February 7, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.:  There will temporary lane closures I-40 westbound MM 0.3 to MM 0.00 on Mississippi River Bridge.  Two lanes will remain open, one lane will remain closed. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 westbound over Levee Road: Wednesday February 05 through Wednesday February 12The westbound shoulder will be closed for the duration of the project.  Levee Road between Thomas Street (State Route 3) and N. Bellevue Blvd. will be CLOSED during construction.  Detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.:  Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  A widening project on I-240 will cause temporary lane closures. Traffic has been moved to temporary ramps at the Walnut Grove interchange.

Sunday February 9 through Thursday February 13, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:   There will be lane closures eastbound from MM 13.5 to MM 14.5 and westbound from MM 15.0 to MM 16.0, for the installation of median barrier Glare screen extension. Weather Permitting.

LOOK AHEAD: Saturday February 15, 6:00 a. m -5:00 p. m :  This will be a lane closure on Exit Ramp 15B/C, traffic will be allowed to access this exit, for the installation of portable barrier rail at ramp 15B/C which is the exit ramp from westbound I-240 to Poplar.  Weather Permitting.

Sunday February 16, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m:  Exit Ramp 15B/C will be CLOSED, for the removal of overhead sign structure.  This is the exit ramp from westbound I-240 to travel eastbound & westbound Poplar Avenue.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  Modification of the I-40/I-240 interchange. Saturday February 8, 7:00AM:  The right lane of eastbound Summer Avenue will be CLOSED, Beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue, for the installation of portable barrier rail to allow for construction of Abutment 1/Wall 12.  This will be a permanent lane closure that will last approximately 3 months.

Saturday February 8, 7:30AM-5:30PM:  The right lane of Sam Cooper Blvd. will be temporarily CLOSED, beginning just east of Exit 10A and extending to just west of exit 10B, to allow for delivery of concrete for Bridge 2, to pour footing.  Exit 10A & Exit 10B will remain open at all times.  Weather Permitting.

LOOK AHEAD:  Saturday February 15, 7:00 a.m.-5:00p. m.:  The left lane of I-240 northbound will be temporarily CLOSED, beginning just north of the existing Greenway bridge, to allow for installation of portable barrier rail.  The existing I-240 ramp to Sam Cooper westbound Exit 12B will remain open.  This closure is to set barrier rail around the gore area at the exit from I-240 northbound to Sam Cooper Boulevard westbound and along the same ramp near I-240 southbound.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A replacement of the bridge over Illinois Central Railroad from South Parkway to McLemore Avenue.  Roadway is CLOSED, a detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:   Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits (LM-1.65) to Stout Road (LM-2.40).  Flagmen will be utilized during these closures to ensure safety from oncoming traffic and construction equipment.  The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:  Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.  Weather Permitting.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Retracing of Pavement Marking with Paint:  Wednesday February 5 through Wednesday February 12:  There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Pavement Repair  Saturday February 8, 12:00 a. m. through Monday February 10, 6:00 a. m.:  There will be night/day time lane closures at the following locations, for the repair of damaged concrete.  THP will assist with traffic control.

  • I-40, Madison County eastbound lanes from MM 94.43 to MM 95.33, one lane will remain open.  Work will consist of sawing damaged slabs of concrete and sealing repaired concrete slabs during the night time hours.  Weekend, daytime work will consist of removing previously sawed concrete slabs and re-pouring. Weather Permitting.

Monday February 10 & Tuesday February 11, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. nightly:  There will be night/day time lane closures at the following locations, for the repair of damaged concrete.

  • I-40, Madison County eastbound lanes from MM 94.43 to MM 95.33, one lane will remain open.  Work will consist of sawing damaged slabs of concrete and sealing repaired concrete slabs during the night time hours.  Weekend, daytime work will consist of removing previously sawed concrete slabs and re-pouring.
