CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over the Rutherford Fork Obion River and overflows. Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26: There will be possible lane closures. Flaggers may be present.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR-20 (US-412):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Wilkinstown Road/Bear Creek Road to State Route 69.

DYER COUNTY, I-155:  Monday November 24 & Tuesday November 25, 8:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures in both directions on I-155 between LM-0.00 and LM-15.00, for crack sealing.

Tuesday November 25, 8:00 a. m.-12:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures in both directions on I-155 between LM-0.00 and LM-15.00, for crack sealing.

LOOK AHEAD: Monday December 1 through Friday December 5, 8:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.There will be temporary lane closures in both directions on I-155 between LM-0.00 and LM-15.00, for crack sealing.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in directions daily, from Biffle Road to South of State Route 105. State Route 3 speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over Lewis Creek Canal. A signal system will be utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction. Speed limit has been reduced to 30 MPH.

DYER COUNTY, SR-182:  Bridge Repair on State Route 182 over Coon Creek will cause the roadway to be CLOSED beginning Wednesday November 5, 2014. Detour route will be posted.

DYER COUNTY, SR-211:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 77 to State Route 105. Flagmen will be present.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are CLOSED.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-193:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to State Route 194.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-196:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-64) State Route 15 to the junction of State Route 196 and Hickory Withe Road.

FAYETTE and SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line. State Route 385 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction.  The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection.  State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction for the West Tennessee Solar Farm and Welcome Center, including removal of Albright Road bridge Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26:  The westbound shoulders are temporarily closed for construction of ramp extension.

Saturday November 22, 6:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m. or alternate Monday November 24, 6:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 westbound (MM 45.0 to MM 43.0), for scoring shoulders, thermoplastic and snowplowable markers. One lane will remain open.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at the intersection of State Route 76 & I-40 at the weigh station.

Sunday November 23 through Tuesday November 25, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 westbound and eastbound at Exit 56, for placement of thermoplastic, snowplowable markers, gravel and scoring shoulders. One lane will remain open. HELP Truck will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-140:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from west of Rex Jackson Loop to State Route 76.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-22:  A widening project on State Route 22, south of State Route 21 in Tiptonville to existing State Route 22 (Cates Landing Rd.).  Roadway is OPEN to traffic but there will be possible lane closures in both directions on State Route 22, for the duration of the project.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-88:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Edith-Nankipoo Road to State Route 210.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley.  There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MADISON COUNTY, I-40:  Saturday November 22, 7:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 eastbound between mile marker 85.0 and mile marker 87.0, for milling and paving operations. Weather Permitting.

OBION COUNTY, SR-431:  Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the North Fork Obion River bridge to US-51 (State Route 3).

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:

Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26:  The left (inside) shoulder of Ramp J, the exit ramp for westbound Interstate 40 to Second Street, will be closed for about six months.  Ramp J will remain open at all times. Ramp B (the Exit ramp from Westbound I-40 to Riverside Drive) has been narrowed to 14 feet (the left shoulder and a small portion of the lane) and “wide loads” are restricted from using this. Ramp B will remain open at all times. Ramp E right shoulder (the Entrance ramp from Riverside Drive to I-40 Eastbound) has been narrowed to 12 feet and “wide loads” are restricted from using this. Ramp E will remain open at all times.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:

Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26:  Traffic will remain in the current configuration until mid-November 2014. Traffic on the bridge is configured as follows: work zone on the north side of the bridge, 2 lanes westbound traffic in the center of the bridge and 2 lanes eastbound traffic on south side of the bridge. Two lanes will remain open in each direction. Lane closures on the I-40 bridge will be required until approximately March 15, 2015.

LOOK AHEAD:  On Monday December 1, 2014 with an alternate date of Wednesday, December 3, 2014, Westbound traffic will continue to be shifted to the 2 center lanes as is presently configured. Approximately mid-way through the project, Westbound traffic will be shifted to the outside 2 lanes. Traffic will continue in the 2 outside lanes until the entrance to the Arkansas weigh station. The Eastbound lane closure starts opposite the Arkansas weigh station. Two lanes will remain open in each direction. Lane closures on the I-40 Bridge will be required until approximately March 15, 2015.

Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.:  Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26A widening project on I-240 will cause temporary lane closures.

Saturday November 22, 6:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.:  Two left lanes of eastbound I-240 between mile marker 16.0 and mile marker 13.0 will be CLOSED, for the final surface paving. Weather Permitting.

Sunday November 23, 6:00 a. m. through Monday November 24, 6:00 a. m.:  Two left lanes of westbound I-240 between MM 13.0 and MM 16.0, will be CLOSED “around the clock”, for final paving. Weather Permitting.

Sunday November 23, through Tuesday November 25, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  Two left lanes of eastbound I-240 between MM 16.0 and MM 13.0 and two left or two right lanes of westbound I-240 between MM 16.0 and MM 13.0, will be CLOSED, for final paving. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:  Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26:  Modification of the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Beginning Monday February 10:  The right lane of eastbound Summer Avenue was CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue, for the installation of portable barrier rail to allow for construction of Abutment 1/Wall 12.  This will be a permanent lane closure.

Beginning in August 2014:  The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound was CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange for bridge construction.  The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Westbound was CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange for bridge construction.

Beginning Saturday September 20:  There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange.  One lane of northbound I-240 will also be CLOSED in this same section.

Wednesday November 19, Thursday 20 (back up date), & Monday November 24 (back up date),

8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  The two right lanes of I-40 westbound from Exit 12 (Sycamore View Rd., LM-12.4) extending to Exit 10A (Jackson, MS Exit, LM-11.0), will be CLOSED, to allow for removal of the existing overhead sign just east of the Wolf River bridge. During removal of the truss, the Contractor will need to stop traffic for approximately 20-minutes for the lift and removal. Exits 12 and 10A will remain open during this work.

Thursday November 20 through Tuesday November 25 (excluding Sunday), 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  Reduce lanes on Summer Avenue (Hwy 70) to one lane in each direction, beginning near the red light at White Station Road, and extending to the red light at the existing Summer Avenue entrance ramps, for pouring the concrete bridge deck for the I-40 eastbound bridge over Summer Avenue. Traffic shifts will be utilized as needed, to keep at least one lane of traffic opened in each direction. Weather Permitting.

Saturday November 22 & Sunday November 23 (back-up date), 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p. m.:  The left lanes of westbound and eastbound I-40 from log mile 9. 2 extending to log mile 9.6, will be CLOSED, to allow for the installation of interconnected portable barrier rail for the DMS median foundation construction. Once the interconnected portable barrier rail has been installed, the two inside lanes will reopen. The inside shoulders will remain closed until the DMS foundation work is completed. The Covington Pike interchange (Exit 10) will remain open during this closure. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

Saturday November 22 & Sunday November 23 (back-up date), 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p. m.:  The left lane of southbound I-240 and the two left lanes of northbound I-240 from log mile 12.4 extending to log mile 13.4 to allow for the removal of interconnected portable barrier rail for the DMS and overhead sign median foundation construction. Exit 12C and Exit 13 will remain open. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1 (US-51): Monday November 24 through Sunday November 30:  There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A replacement of the bridge over Illinois Central Railroad from South Parkway to McLemore Avenue.  Roadway is CLOSED, a detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A bridge repair project on State Route14 over I-55 and on South Parkway West over I-55.

Wednesday November 12 through Wednesday December 10:  The northbound and southbound shoulders between mile marker 11.6 and mile marker 9.6, will be closed for expansion joint repairs.

Friday November 21, 7:00 p. m. through Monday November 24, 6:00 a. m.:  There will be intermittent lane closures on I-55, two lanes will be closed, one lane will remain open, for switching traffic as needed, to allow for the removal and replacement of the parapet rail on the bridge on South Parkway over I-55 LM-10.6. Exit 10/Northbound I-55 CLOSED and the ramp from South Parkway toward Northbound I-55 CLOSED.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72)Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:

Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits (log mile 1.65) to Stout Road (log mile 2.40).  The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-204:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Raleigh-LaGrange Road to State Route 14.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie River. Traffic will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane; a twelve (12’) lane will be maintained in each direction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

Wednesday November 19 through Wednesday November 26:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Memphis-Arlington Road at log mile 8.5 & Hall Creek at log mile 7.2.  Traffic will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane in each direction for paving operations and sealing the bridge deck.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair and Concrete Barrier Rail:  Monday November 25 & Tuesday November 26, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, to repair damaged concrete barrier rail. THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-240, Shelby County, eastbound median (MM 21.0 to MM 22.0), one lane will remain open.
