Each of the 55 State Parks Will Host a Hike

NASHVILLE – Tennessee State Parks will offer free, guided hikes on Friday, Nov. 28. The fourth in the quarterly hikes program, the After Thanksgiving Hikes will be offered at each of the 55 state parks.

“The After Thanksgiving Hikes are a perfect way to spend time with family and friends while working off that holiday feast,” Deputy Commissioner Brock Hill said. “Enjoy the beautiful fall scenery that Tennessee has to offer at one of our great state parks.”

From Meeman-Shelby to Fall Creek Falls to Roan Mountain and every state park in between, the 2014 After Thanksgiving Hikes are designed for all ages and abilities. Some hikes will be approximately one mile in length and tailored for novice hikers, while others are lengthier and geared toward more experienced hikers.
