BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.
  • Friday October 24 and Saturday October 25, 9PM-5AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-40 in both directions, at MM 190.0, in order to remove existing bridge beams. Operation will occur in 30 minute intervals. Troopers will be utilized.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Road

  • Saturday October 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on I-65 southbound so that striping may be done.  Troopers will be utilized.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-65 over CSX Railroad, Rivergate Pkwy, Long Hollow Pike, E Cedar Street, & Mansker Creek

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Sunday October 26), There will be lanes closures on I-65 northbound, from MM 96 to MM 99, so that paving and striping may be done.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of Interchange Lighting on SR 386 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd) at the Junction of Conference Drive

  • From now through Wednesday December 31, 7AM-4PM, There will be shoulder closures on Vietnam Veterans Blvd at Conference Drive for installation of lighting.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 255 (Harding Place) from I-24 to US 41 (US 70S/SR 1/Murfreesboro Road)

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on Harding Place from I-24 to Murfreesboro Road in order to stripe the roadway.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) from US 31W (US 41/SR 11/Dickerson Pike) to US 31E (SR 6/Gallatin Pike)

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on Old Hickory Blvd from Dickerson Pike to Gallatin Pike so that milling, concrete work, and paving can be done.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Various Interstate and State Routes

  • Thursday October 23 through Thursday October 30, 9AM-3PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on the following routes so that testing of roadway striping may be done. Troopers will be utilized. All testing is weather dependent. All testing schedules are subject to change.
  • Thursday October 23 – SR 155 (Briley Parkway)
  • Tuesday October 28 – I-24 at MM 61.2, 59.9 and 57.2; SR 155 (Briley Parkway) at MM 11.1
  • Wednesday October 29 – I-65 at MM 92.9, 93.9 and 95.3
  • Thursday October 30 – I-24 at MM 43.7, 44.3, and 52.5; SR 386 (Vietnam Veteran Blvd) at MM 1.4

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pull box installation and conduit proving/repairs.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Local Programs Project (Metro Public Works)

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 8AM-4PM, The right lane of Harding Place eastbound will be closed from Danby Drive to Timberhill Drive in order to install sidewalks.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Repair of SR 396W (Saturn Parkway) ramp to US 31S (SR 6)

  • Thursday October 23, 12 Midnight through Tuesday October 28, 8AM, There will be lane shifts on the ramp from SR 396 West (Saturn Pkwy) to US 31 South (SR 6) in order to perform ramp repairs. Temporary lane shifts are also possible on US 31 (SR 6).

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, Ridgely Road, and College Street for underground utility crossings.

 

SUMNER AND WILSON COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Saturday October 25, 6AM-4PM, There will be short-term traffic stoppages as necessary to switch traffic from the east side lanes to the west side lanes in order complete work on the bridge decks.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during paving operations.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 1 PM, (excluding weekends), There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions, between MM 61 and MM 63, for blasting.

 

Miscellaneous Safety Improvements on Various State Routes

Bedford County*

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 6AM – 8PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 269, from Fairfield Pike to SR 64 in Wartrace, order to install various safety improvements.

Lincoln County*

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 6AM–8PM, There will be temporary lane closures on US 231 (SR 10), from north of Warden Road in Fayetteville to the Lincoln-Moore County line, in order to install various safety improvements. 

Marshall County*

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 6AM – 8PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 99, from SR 11 near Chapel Hill to SR 16 near Eagleville in Rutherford County, in order to install various safety improvements.
  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 6AM – 8PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 272, from Lewisburg city limits to Anes Station Road, in order to install various safety improvements. 

*Most closures will involve shoulder work; however, temporary closures of one lane with flagging operation will be used when shoulder is too narrow to permit safe travel. Striping will utilize mobile operations.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

TDOT Maintenance:

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, and Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, and Humphreys Counties

 

  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee for tree trimming and removal on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Maury and Robertson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman and Humphreys Counties

 

Davidson County

  • Monday October 27 through Wednesday October 29, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for drain cleaning operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday October 23 through Wednesday October 29, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations on I-40 between Demonbreun Street and Rosa Parks Blvd for drain inspection. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Friday October 24, 2014 through Wednesday April 29, 2015, 6:30AM, The on-ramp to I-40 westbound from Charlotte Avenue (downtown) will be closed for 5-10 minutes for blasting operations in the area. This will occur weekly, Tuesdays through Saturdays.

 

Humphreys County

  • Monday October 27 through Thursday October 30, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 1 in each direction at MM 13 in order for Humphreys County Maintenance to repair bridge drains. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

Montgomery County

  • Thursday  October 23 through Tuesday October 28, 8PM-5AM,  There will be one lane closed in each direction on SR 76 (US 79), from MM 12 to MM 13.1, (Dover Crossing @ Barge Point Road) in order to pave and stripe the roadway. 

 

Robertson County

  • Thursday October 23 through Tuesday October 28, 8PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-65 southbound, from MM 106.0 to MM 105.0, in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. 

 

Wilson County

  • Tuesday October 28 and Wednesday October 29, 8AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 266 (College Street) in Lebanon to repair the railroad grade crossing.  One lane will remain open.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • From now through Friday October 31, 7PM–6AM, There will be lane closures on SR 1 (Murfreesboro Road), from Menzler Lane to Fesslers Lane, in order for Piedmont Natural Gas to open cut and install a 6” gas main.
  • Sunday October 26 through Sunday November 9, 7PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on SR 106 (West End Avenue) near Grand Avenue in order to for Metro Water to install 10” sewer main, 10” storm water connection, and a new fire hydrant.

TDOT is currently working to improve SmartWay access for Android and iPhone users to assist them in navigating Tennessee highways.  The new system will provide up-to-the-minute, customized traffic information and will enable the user to access TDOT SmartWay cameras, messages displayed on overhead Dynamic Message Signs, and information on construction related lane closures and incidents on interstates and state routes.  Check back for more information on mobile SmartWay use.
