Wood Duck, Teal Early Season Runs Sept. 14-18

NASHVILLE --- The early hunting season for wood duck and teal will be held in Tennessee from Sept. 14-18. 

The daily bag limit is four, not to exceed two wood ducks. The early waterfowl season for Canada goose began Sept. 1 and continues through Sept. 15 with daily bag limit of five Canada geese.

The hunter must have in his/her possession a valid state hunting license, Tennessee Migratory Bird Permit and Federal Duck Stamp (for ages 16 and over) at all times while hunting.

The 2013 Tennessee Hunting & Trapping Guide can also be viewed on the website or a copy may be obtained at any TWRA regional office or wherever hunting and fishing licenses are sold. 

Information on the 2013-14 late waterfowl seasons will be available in the 2013 Tennessee Waterfowl Hunting Guide. The guide will be available in late September.
