TWRA to Participate in UT Woods and Wildlife Field Day

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will be among the organizations participating in the Woods and Wildlife Field Day at the University of Tennessee Cumberland Forest located near Wartburg in Morgan County. The event is Thursday, Oct. 3 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. (EDT).

A program of the UT Forest Resources AgResearch and Education Center, the event will feature presentations on a variety of areas. These will include focus on feral hog trapping and control, forest ecology, natural resources management, silviculture, and wildlife habitat management.

TWRA staff along with representatives from the Tennessee Division of Forestry will be at the event to answer wildlife management and forestry-related questions.

Advance registration is required for planning purposes. A $10 registration fee will be collected on the day of the program which will go toward lunch, refreshments, and materials. Visit http://forestry.tennessee.edu for registration and the latest details about the event.
