BLOUNT COUNTY, US 411/ SR 35 between S. Washington Street and Wilcox Street: Motorists should be alert for changing conditions in this area. SR 35 Eastbound is closed to thru traffic and detoured around this widening project. Eastbound motorists should follow posted detour route.  SR 35 Westbound will remain open and motorists should be alert for possible traffic shifts in this direction.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North between Mile Markers 157 and 159: Motorists should be alert lane shifts through this rockfall mitigation and slope stabilization project. Motorists should be alert for reduced speed limits, narrowed lanes, lane shifts and use extreme caution through this area.  Motorist should be alert for possible rolling roadblocks during daylight hours through this project.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 156 and the Kentucky State Line: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures nightly between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning on Sundays through Thursdays through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for reduced speed limits, workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

CARTER COUNTY, SR 362 Gap Creek Road between SR 361 and Tester Road: Gap Creek Road (SR 362) is closed to thru traffic and detoured for approximately one year as crews complete roadway construction widening in this area.  Motorists should follow signed detour route and adjust travel times accordingly. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and use extreme caution in this area.

COCKE COUNTY, US 25/70/SR 9 Bridge over the French Broad River at Log Mile 21.6: The historic Wolf Creek Bridge on US 25/70/SR 9 over the French Broad River is closed to thru traffic as crews perform work on this bridge rehabilitation project. The bridge will be closed thru March of 2014. Separate signed detours will be in place for passenger and commercial vehicles.  Motorists should adjust travel times accordingly and use caution through this area. COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East Ramp to US 25 (Exit 432 A): Motorists should be alert for narrowed lanes on this ramp as crews perform ramp widening.  Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, workers present, and use extreme caution in this area.

GRAINGER COUNTY, SR 32 (US 25E) between SR 1 (11W) and Mountain View Dr: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures daily through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for reduced speed limits, workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

GRAINGER COUNTY, SR 375 between SR 92 and Green Lee Rd: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for reduced speed limits, workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

GREENE COUNTY, SR 34/US 11E at SR 351: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures through this intersection improvement project. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, I-81 North and South near Exit 8: Motorists should be alert for periodic rolling roadblocks approaching this area between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily as crews perform overhead bridge work. Motorists should be alert for slow moving traffic and use extreme caution approaching this area.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, SR 32/US 25E near I-81 Interchange: Motorists should be alert for changing traffic patterns through this project.  Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures and flag persons directing traffic at various times through this project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, SR 32/US 25E near College Park Drive:  Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures at various times and changing conditions through this project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, US 11E/SR 34 at the US 25E/SR 32 Interchange: Motorists should be alert for workers present as crews begin this ramp re-construction project.  Motorists should be alert for reduced speeds and use extreme caution in this area.

HAWKINS COUNTY, SR 1 between West Main Street and SR 70: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-40 East and West Bridge over the French Broad River near Mile Marker 425: I-40 East and West across the bridge over Douglas Lake near Mile Marker 425 is reduced to one lane in each direction as crews continue this bridge rehabilitation project.  These lane reductions will be in place around the clock for approximately two years.  Motorists should be alert for lane shifts and narrowed lanes in this area.  Traffic loads in excess of 12 feet in width will be prohibited and must follow a detour route.  The wide load detour will be US 25/SR 9 between Exits 424 and 432. Motorists should expect potential delays in this area during peak travel times.  Local traffic should consider using US 25/SR 9 as an alternate route during peak travel periods.  I-81 and I-26 may be used as an alternate route for I-40 “thru traffic” to by-pass this project during peak travel periods. JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 11E/SR 34 between Rocktown Road and Morelock Road: US 11E (State Route 34) between Rocktown Road and Morelock Road in Jefferson City is reduced to one lane in each direction as crews perform bridge repairs over Norfolk Southern railroad. Loads in excess of 11 feet in width are not permitted through this area.  A wide load detour will be in place utilizing State Route 92, I-40, I-81 and State Route 160.  Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and use extreme caution in this area.  Motorists should expect potential delays through this project.  This project is estimated to be complete on or before October 15, 2013.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East and West near between Mile Marker 392.0 (Rutledge Pike) and Mile Marker 374.0 (Lovell Rd): Monday, September 23, 2013, through Thursday, September 26, 2013 motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning at various locations through this area as crews perform milling and paving operations.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-275 North and South between Mile Marker 2.3 and 2.8: On Monday, September 23, 2013 through Wednesday, September 25, 2013, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, Strawberry Plains Pike between Brakebill Road and I-40:, Motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure through this intersection improvement project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-75 North Ramp to Callahan Drive (Exit 110): Motorists should be alert for lane closures on this ramp as crews perform ramp widening.  Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, narrowed lanes and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, SR 62 (Oak Ridge Hwy. /Western Ave.) between Schaad Road and Copper Kettle Road: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures at various times throughout this widening project.  Motorists traveling in this area should be alert for workers and equipment present and be alert for changing traffic conditions, detours, traffic shifts and use caution through this area. Woodsmith Road at SR 62 is closed to thru traffic for construction. The following roads are currently closed to thru traffic for construction: Shortt Road at Western Avenue; South Hinton Road between Western Avenue and Third Creek Road; Jimmy Carter Road at Western Avenue and Beaver Ridge Road at Western Avenue.  A short section of Ball Camp Pike between Western Avenue and Goldenrod Street is also closed for construction.  Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and follow signed detour routes. KNOX COUNTY, US 441/SR 33 Henley Bridge over Tennessee River in Downtown Knoxville: The Henley Bridge is closed to traffic for bridge rehabilitation.  Motorists should follow signed detour route using James White Parkway.  For updated project information, go to http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/henley/

KNOX COUNTY, SR 158 Neyland Drive approaching the Henley Bridge: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures on weekdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through this area as crews perform overhead bridge work.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area. . KNOX COUNTY, SR 131 Emory Road between Gill Road and Clinton Highway: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this widening project for bridge construction, utility and equipment crossings.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, US 25/ SR 9 Clinton Highway near West Beaver Creek Road: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures daily in both directions between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through this area as crews perform median construction.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, Watt Road/Old Stage Road Improvement Project: Old Stage Road is closed to through traffic from Johnson’s Corner Road to Shipley Lane.  Access to all properties will be maintained.  Through traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes.  Closure is anticipated to remain through Fall 2013. Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and use caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, I-40 at Exit 364 (SR 95/US 321): I-40 East and West is reduced to one lane around the clock as crews perform bridge repairs.  These lane closures for Phase 2 of this project are estimated to be in place through Thursday, September 26, 2013.  Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73/ SR 95 underneath I-40 at Exit 364: Motorists should be alert for daily lane closures underneath I-40 during daylight hours as crews perform overhead bridge repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73 between SR 2 and City Park Drive: Motorists should be alert for changing conditions, workers present, construction equipment and use extreme caution through this area.

MONROE COUNTY, SR 68 at Isbill Road: Motorists should be alert for possible daily lane closures during daylight hours through this intersection improvement project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East and West near Exit 347: Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, narrowed lanes, closed shoulders, reduced speeds, construction personnel and equipment present and expect potential delays through this bridge repair project. Motorists traveling in the right lane of I-40 East approaching the exit ramp at Exit 347 should use extreme caution and be prepared for motorists slowing down to use the exit ramp.

ROANE COUNTY, US 27 underneath I-40 Exit 347: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures daily in this area as crews perform overhead bridge work.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

ROANE COUNTY, SR 1 /US 27 over Shanty Branch near Poland Hollow Road: Motorists should be alert for traffic shifts and new traffic patterns through this bridge repair project.  Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

SCOTT COUNTY, SR 29 Bridge over Roaring Paunch Creek near Log Mile 24.7 and 25.8: SR 29 is reduced to one lane around the clock and controlled by a temporary traffic signal as crews begin this bridge repair project.  Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and use extreme caution in this area.

SEVIER COUNTY, SR 66 in Sevierville SR 139 (Douglas Dam Rd.) and SR 338 W (Boyd’s Creek Hwy.): Short duration traffic stops in both directions may occur daily Monday through Friday through this project for utility crossings. On Monday, September 23, 2013 through Thursday, September 26, 2013 motorists should be alert for possible lane closure northbound between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews remove barrier rail, and the stone placement and paving in this area. 

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 390 between SR 44 and SR 394: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

UNICOI COUNTY, SR 173 between I-26 and Carter County Line: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

UNICOI COUNTY, SR 107 at Main Street:  Motorists should use extreme caution and be alert for construction personnel and equipment entering and exiting this construction project.

UNION COUNTY, Existing SR 33 Bridge over Clinch River (Norris Lake) Weight Restrictions: The existing State Route 33 Bridge over Norris Lake is posted with weight limit restrictions and is being strictly enforced.  Weight restrictions are: 5 axle vehicles are 35 tons; 3 or 4 axle vehicle is 22 tons; 2 axle vehicles are 20 tons.  VEHICLES WEIGHING IN EXCESS OF THE RESTRICTED WEIGHTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE BRIDGE AND MUST FOLLOW A DETOUR ROUTE. Motorists should use extreme caution and be prepared to stop approaching the bridge.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, I-26 East near Mile Marker 14.6: On Wednesday, September 25, 2013, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

WASHINGTON/SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 75 between SR 36 and SR 357: Intermittent lane closures will be implemented in the north and south bound lanes throughout the construction project at various times.  Motorists should expect potential delays, be alert for changing conditions and use caution in this area.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, SR 36 between SR 354 and SR 75: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures and flag persons directing traffic at various times through this project.  Roseview Drive is closed to thru traffic as construction continues in this area.  Motorists can access Roseview Drive via Boone Avenue during this time. Short duration traffic stops in both directions may occur daily through this project for utility and equipment crossings.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.


NON-TDOT PROJECT
Sullivan County  SR357 (Airport Parkway):  Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday September 20, 2013 through 6:00 a.m. Monday September 23, 2013 motorists will encounter lane closures on both the Northbound and Southbound lanes to accommodate construction traffic from Tri-Cities Regional Airport.  The left lane will be closed northbound from the Bridge over SR75 (LM 0.0) to just north of Centenary Rd (LM 1.7) to allow trucks access from the airport to the asphalt plant.  The right lane will be closed southbound from just north of Centenary Rd (LM 1.7) to the SR75 off ramp (LM 0.0).  Motorists are asked to use caution in this area.
