WARTBURG – The Department of Correction has arrested four people following a vehicle search at the Morgan County Correctional Complex (MCCX).  One employee and three visitors were arrested for attempting to bring drugs and other contraband into the prison.  The TDOC Office of Investigation and Compliance arrested the following people:

  • Lori Hensley, an RN at MCCX, charged with introduction of contraband and possession of oxycodone.
  • Shelia Mcbee, visitor, charged with possession of methadone and oxycodone without a prescription.
  • Shannon Hunt, visitor, charged with introduction of contraband (cellphone).
  • Ronema Widener, visitor, charged with possession of oxycodone without a prescription.

“The introduction of contraband into state prisons is a serious offense that threatens the safety and security of staff and inmates and will not be tolerated,” said Commissioner Derrick D. Schofield.  “Our agency will vigorously pursue prosecution against any person who attempts to threaten security.”
