Fishermen Found Guilty in Rhea County

CROSSVILLE --- Two Watts Bar Lake fishermen pleaded guilty in Rhea County General Sessions Court in August for the illegal possession of undersize crappie.

Mark Lemons, of Rockwood and Gerald Baker, of Clinton were cited May 26, 2013, after TWRA enforcement officers, Sgt. Chris Combs, Brad Daughtery, and Burton Capps, found the two in possession of 14 undersize crappie. The two were encountered at the Lakeside Marina in Whites Creek on Watts Bar Lake.  Officers cited the fisherman with eight undersize crappie charges per person.  

Judge J. McKenzie of Rhea County Court accepted the guilty plea of  six undersize crappie per person. Lemons and Baker were sentenced to a total of $3,258.00 in fines and court costs per the plea agreement.
