July 25th—31st, 2013

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • From now through July 31, Ewing Lane and a portion of Hillhurst will be closed and detours will be in place to allow excavation of the roadway under I-65.
  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 10AM-2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 southbound between Dickerson Rd. and Exit 88 (I-24 ramp) in order to blast.
  • Thursday July 25, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound between Dickerson Rd. and Trinity Lane for overhead sign and DMS removal.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • Friday July 26, 8PM through Monday July 29, 5AM, I-440 eastbound will be closed from the I-65 junction to the I-24 junction including the on and off ramps at Nolensville Rd. in order to perform concrete repairs.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through December 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.
  • Wednesday July 24 through Friday July 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed on One Mile Pkwy. in order to pave the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Battery Lane over West Fork Browns Creek

  • From now through August 31, Battery Lane will be closed for bridge replacement.  Detours will be in-place. 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 386 (Vietnam Vets Blvd) From I-65 to Conference Drive

  • No lane closures this week

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 1 (Murfreesboro Rd) from Rural Hill Rd to Rutherford Co Line

  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 1 for milling the roadway.

HICKMAN COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-40 over Garners Creek and Garners Creek Rd.

  • Friday July 26, 8PM through Monday July 29, 6AM, There will be one lane closed of I-40 eastbound (MM 162.0) in order to work on the bridge approach and repair the bridge deck and parapet and paving.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday July 25, 8PM-4AM, The left lane of I-24 eastbound and westbound at MM 78.3 and on I-65 northbound and southbound at MM 68.0 will be closed for median barrier wall.
  • Monday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson
  • Monday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

DAVIDSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, Longitudinal Joint Stabilization on Various State Routes

  • Monday July 29 through Wednesday July 31, 8PM-5AM, There will be moving work zones at the following locations for longitudinal joint stabilization:
  • SR174 (LM 5.85 – Davidson County Line)
  • SR174 (Sumner County Line – Long Hollow Pike)
  • SR24 (CSX Railroad – SR1)
  • SR155 (Brick Church Pike – I-24)
  • SR11 (2nd Avenue – I-40)
  • SR11 (Spring Street – Trinity Lane)

SMITH/ WILSON/ SUMNER COUNTIES, Performance Based Striping

  • Tuesday July 30 through Wednesday July 31, 9AM-3PM, There will be rolling roadblocks at the following locations in order to test the striping:
  • I-40 EB & WB MM 257-267 (Smith Co.)
  • I-40 EB & WB MM 239-251 (Wilson Co.)
  • I-65 NB & SB MM 96-103 (Sumner Co.)

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Rocky Fork Rd. over I-24

  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound near MM 69.0 for bridge repairs.  Two lanes will remain open in each direction.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Epps Mill Rd. over I-24

  • No lane closures this week

SMITH COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 beginning at Smith/Wilson County line to exit 258

  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31 (excluding Saturday July 27), 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 both directions for permanent striping and delineator installation.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 171 (Mt. Juliet Rd.) from the Davidson Co. line to north of SR 265

  • Monday July 29 through Wednesday July 31, 9AM-3PM, There will alternating lane closures on SR 171 in both directions for milling operations.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for milling the roadway and shifting traffic.  One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 9AM-2PM, There will be rolling road blocks on I-40 westbound for blasting.  Police officers will be utilized.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Signal Installation on Nolensville Rd. at Sunset Rd.

  • Wednesday July 24 through Wednesday July 31, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Nolensville Rd. for signal work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • From now through December 2013, The inside lanes of Mack Hatcher Pkwy. in both directions approximately ½  west of the Franklin Rd intersection will be closed in order to  perform median work and work on the next phase of construction.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 253(Concord Rd.) from US 31 (SR 6) to SR 252 (Wilson Pike) including Bridge Deck Repair

  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures in order to install permanent pavement markings.
  • Friday July 26, 8PM through Monday July 29, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures for bridge deck repair.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday, July 25 through Wednesday, July 31, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open. 
  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday July 25 and Monday July 29 through Wednesday July 31, 9AM-3PM and 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations on the interstates in Davidson County for Drain Cleaning Operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday July 25, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 westbound ramp to I-40W between mile marker 0.0 and mile marker 0.2 for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open. 
  • Tuesday July 30, 7PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 100 at Old Hickory Blvd. (Percy Warner Park) for milling and paving the intersection.  One lane will remain open. 

HICKMAN COUNTY

  • Tuesday July 30, 6PM-6AM, There will be intermittent lane closures on I-40 westbound at mile marker 148 for spot patching.  One lane will remain open.
  • Tuesday July 30, 6PM-6AM, There will be intermittent lane closures on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 158.2 for spot patching in this area.  One lane will remain open.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on State Route 374 between mile marker 2.5 and mile marker 3.5 for paving and striping roadway. 
  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 7PM-5AM, There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 112 (U.S. 41 A - Madison Street) between mile marker 9.0 and mile marker 10.0 also State Route 374 (Richview Road ) between mile marker 0 and mile marker 1.0 for installation of a new cross drain pipe under roadway at  State Route 112 (U.S. 41 -  A Madison Street).  One lane in each direction will remain open. 

STEWART COUNTY

  • Thursday July 25 through Wednesday July 31, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on Fire Tower Road at Land Between the Lakes State Park for milling, paving, and striping roadway. 

TDOT Survey Office

  • Thursday July 25, beginning at 10AM, The inside shoulder of the Exit 209A ramp from I-40/I-65 to Broadway Ave. (SR-1/US-70S) will be closed between the Demonbreun St. overpass to Broadway Ave. (SR-1/US 70S) for survey work.  All lanes of traffic will remain open.

  • Thursday July 25 through Thursday August 1, 1PM-2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-40 westbound at MM 229 (Beckwith Rd.) for blasting.

Music City Triathlon – DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Sunday July 28, 7AM-11:30AM, Ellington Pkwy. will be closed for this event.
