Fish Species Diversity in Tennessee Subject for TWRA’s August Nature @ Noontime Program

NASHVILLE --- Fish species diversity in Tennessee will be the topic at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s Nature @ Noontime program on Thursday, Aug. 1. This month’s program will be held in the Ed Jones Auditorium, located in the Ellington Agricultural Center, rather than at the TWRA Ray Bell Region II Building. The program will be from noon-1 p.m.

Joey Monteleone has earned national recognition as an angler, guide and instructor. The Middle Tennessee resident has caught more than 29,000 bass over the past three decades and landed more than 1,100 trophy bass.

In addition, he is the long-time outdoors editor on Nashville legendary radio station WSM (AM 650). His “Wild Side Radio” show is now a daily spot that he co-hosts along with DJ Bill Cody. Joey also serves as a Wild Side Guide on the award-winning Tennessee’s Wild Side television program and hosts the fishing tips segment “Reel Tips.”

Hosted by the Information and Education Division, Nature @ Noontime is held the first Thursday of each month with the exception of July. TWRA Nature @ Noontime presentations are about natural resources related topics and last about 30-45 minutes, allowing time for discussion during the allotted lunch hour.
