July 18th—24th, 2013

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • From now through July 24, Ewing Lane and a portion of Hillhurst will be closed and detours will be in place to allow excavation of the roadway under I-65.
  • Thursday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 10AM-2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 southbound between Dickerson Rd. and Exit 88 (I-24 ramp) in order to blast.
  • Thursday July 18, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on Briley Parkway West and I-65 South to install overhead detour signs. These signs are needed for the ramp closure. (I-65 South to I-24 West)
  • Friday July 19, 9PM-5AM There will be lane closures on I-65 South to install portable barrier wall. (approx. 600 lf). This wall will close off the ramp from I-65 South to I-24 West.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • Friday July 19, 8PM through Monday July 22, 5AM, I-440 eastbound will be closed from the I-65 junction to the I-24 junction including the on and off ramps at Nolensville Rd. in order to perform concrete repairs.
  • Thursday July 18, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 westbound in order to perform bridge deck repairs over the CSX Railroad and Glenrose Ave. bridges.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through December 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.
  • Thursday July 18 and Friday July 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed on One Mile Pkwy. in order to pave the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Battery Lane over West Fork Browns Creek

  • From now through August 31, Battery Lane will be closed for bridge replacement.  Detours will be in-place. 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 386 (Vietnam Vets Blvd) From I-65 to Conference Drive

  • Thursday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 9PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday) There will be alternating lane closures on SR 386 for installation of permanent markers and striping the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 1 (Murfreesboro Rd) from Rural Hill Rd to Rutherford Co Line

  • Thursday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Friday and Saturday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 1 for milling the roadway.

DAVIDSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on US 41 (Dickerson Pike) over Mansker Creek

  • No lane closures this week

HICKMAN COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-40 over Garners Creek and Garners Creek Rd.

  • No lane closures this week.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Monday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson
  • Monday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson
  • Tuesday July 23 through Thursday 25, 8PM-4AM, The left lane of I-24 eastbound and westbound at MM 78.3 and on I-65 at MM 68.0 will be closed to repair median barrier wall.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Epps Mill Rd. over I-24

  • Saturday July 20, 8AM-12 Noon, There will be one lane closed on I-24 Eastbound at Epps Mills Rd. for bridge repair.  One lane will remain open.

SMITH COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 beginning at Smith/Wilson County line to exit 258

  • Thursday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for paving operations.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for milling the roadway and shifting traffic.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • From now through December 2013, The inside lanes of Mack Hatcher Pkwy. in both directions approximately ½  west of the Franklin Rd intersection will be closed in order to  perform median work and work on the next phase of construction.
  • Wednesday July 17 through Wednesday July 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96 between Jordan Rd. and Buckingham Circle for grading work.
  • Saturday July 20, beginning at 5AM, There will be disruptions from Mack Hatcher south of SR 96 to north of Cool Springs in order to shift traffic to the next phase. There will be asphalt tie-ins and striping.  Police officers will be at each intersection until traffic shift is complete and signals are working.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 253(Concord Rd.) from US 31 (SR 6) to SR 252 (Wilson Pike) including Bridge Deck Repair

  • Thursday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures in order to pave the roadway.
  • Friday July 19, 8PM through Monday July 22, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures for bridge deck repair.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday, July 18 through Wednesday, July 24, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Thursday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open. 
  • Thursday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday July 18 and Monday July 22 through Wednesday July 24, 9AM-3PM and 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations on the interstates in Davidson County for Drain Cleaning Operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday, July 18, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 in both directions between mile marker 196 and mile marker 205 for milling, paving and bridge end repair.  One lane will remain open. 
  • Thursday July 18 and Monday July 22, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 westbound ramp to I-40W between mile marker 0.0 and mile marker 0.2 for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open.   
  • Tuesday July 23 and Wednesday July 24, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions between mile marker 33 and mile marker 43 for milling, paving and rock removal.  One lane will remain open.   

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

  • Thursday July 18 through Wednesday July 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on State Route 374 between mile marker 2.5 and mile marker 3.5 for milling, paving, and striping roadway.   

STEWART COUNTY

  • Friday July 19 and Monday July 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on Fire Tower Road at Land Between the Lakes State Park for milling, paving, and striping roadway.   

 

TDOT Bridge Repair

Davidson County

  • Thursday July 18 and Friday July 19, 9AM-3PM, The right lane will be closed on State Route 45 (Old Hickory Blvd.) eastbound over the Cumberland River for bridge inspection.  One lane will remain open.   

TDOT Survey Office

  • Thursday July 25, beginning at 10AM, The inside shoulder of the Exit 209A ramp from I-40/I-65 to Broadway Ave. (SR-1/US-70S) will be closed between the Demonbreun St. overpass to Broadway Ave. (SR-1/US 70S) for survey work.  All lanes of traffic will remain open.

TDOT Traffic Office

  • From now through July 22, 5AM-3PM, There will be a full lane closure of the outside westbound (outbound) lane of SR 100 at Vaughn’s Gap for emergency work on the railroad. 

TDOT Materials & Tests

  • Tuesday July 23, 8PM-5AM, There will be a moving lane closure on SR257 in Robertson County in both directions from SR11 to SR41 in order to core the roadway.

TDOT Utilities

  • Sunday July 21, 6AM-11AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 eastbound and westbound at SR 265 in Wilson County in order to replace power lines.

Summit Constructors

Wilson County

  • Thursday July 18 through Thursday August 1, 1PM-2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-40 westbound at MM 229 (Beckwith Rd.) for blasting.
