MORE THAN 50 SAFETY AND HEALTH SEMINARS AVAILABLE

NASHVILLE – The 36th Annual Tennessee Safety & Health Congress will be held at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville from Sunday, July 14, through Wednesday, July 17. The conference features safety and health experts leading more than 50 seminars and approximately 120 exhibitors.

“The goal of the Tennessee Safety & Health Congress is for industry professionals to come together to network, learn, and share valuable information on keeping workers safe and healthy,” said Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Commissioner Burns Phillips. “We want to create an environment where people can truly benefit from the information provided to take back to their worksites and keep Tennesseans safer.” 

The conference features safety and health experts leading multiple seminars offering something for all types of employment. Workshops are appropriate for safety and health managers, supervisors, plant managers, safety committee members, industrial hygienists, human resource managers, risk managers, health care providers, and front-line employees.

Workshop topics include the 10-Hour OSHA General Industry Course, New ANSI Standards in Fall Protection, Trench Safety, Effective Use of Safety Signage, and Managing the Process for Worker Injuries.

This year’s keynote speaker is Bruce S. Wilkinson; he is a professional motivational keynote speaker, trainer and consultant, who delivers his message with enthusiasm and authenticity. Wilkinson is also the Managing Partner of Louisiana’s first Jimmy John’s Franchise Restaurants in Baton Rouge. He has degrees in both Safety Engineering and Occupational Safety and Health. Also, Wilkinson is one of fewer than 800 people worldwide to earn the prestigious Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation.
