June 6th – 12th, 2013

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • From now through July 20, Ewing Lane and a portion of Hillhurst will be closed and detours will be in place to allow excavation of the roadway under I-65.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • Monday June 10 through Thursday June 13, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-440 eastbound in order to saw cut the concrete pavement.  Also, the ramp from Nolensville Rd. southbound to I-440 eastbound will be closed.

Looking Ahead:

  • Friday June 14, 8PM through Monday June 17, 5AM, The right lane of I-440 eastbound will be closed in order to remove and replace concrete pavement. Also, the ramp from Nolensville Rd. southbound to I-440 eastbound will be closed.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through December 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Battery Lane over West Fork Browns Creek

  • From now through August 31, Battery Lane will be closed for bridge replacement.  Detours will be in-place. 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from I-440 to Haywood Lane

  • Monday June 10 and Tuesday June 11, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound in order to install permanent striping and pavement markers.
  • Wednesday June 12, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 westbound in order to install permanent striping and pavement markers.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 12 from Briley Pkwy, to the Cheatham Co. Line

  • Thursday June 6 through Tuesday June 11, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 12 in order to install permanent striping.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • No lane closures this week.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson
  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

HICKMAN AND DICKSON COUNTIES, Joint Sealing on I-40 from SR 50 (MM148) to SR 96(MM182)

  • Monday June 10 and Tuesday June 11, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in Hickman County from MM 148 (SR 50) to MM 163 (SR 48) in order to seal the centerline pavement joint.
  • Wednesday June 12, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in Dickson County from MM 163 (SR 48) to MM 182 (SR 96) in order to seal the centerline pavement joint.

MARSHALL COUNTY, Resurfacing on I65 from the Giles Co. line to the Maury Co. line

  • Friday June 7, 8PM through Monday June 10, 6AM, There will be one lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound at MM 22.0 for expansion joint repair.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Resurfacing and Bridge Deck Repair on I-24 from SR 76 to the Robertson Co. Line

  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 8PM-6AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating one lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound in order to pave the roadway.
  • Friday June 7, 8PM through Monday June 10, 6AM, There will be alternating one lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound in order to texture coat the parapet on the bridge.

SMITH COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 beginning at Smith/Wilson County line to exit 258 (Smith County)

  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12 (excluding Saturday), 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for asphalt milling and paving operations.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Monday June 10 through Wednesday June 12, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for asphalt patching.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 northbound and southbound for utility line relocation work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • From now through December 2013, The inside lanes of Mack Hatcher Pkwy. in both directions approximately ½  west of the Franklin Rd intersection will be closed in order to  perform median work and work on the next phase of construction.
  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures at the intersection of SR 96 and Mack Hatcher Pkwy. for utility work.
  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on the west side of Liberty Pike in order to work on sidewalks.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

 

TDOT Maintenance:

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday, June 6 through Wednesday, June 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open. 
  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures in both directions on State Route 155 (Briley Parkway) between mile marker 22 and mile marker 26 for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open.
  • Saturday June 8, 8AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed in both directions on State Route 112 (Clarksville Hwy.) for bridge painting, litter pickup and landscaping.  One lane will remain open. 

CHEATHAM COUNTY

  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday, June 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on State Route 249 between mile marker 22.8 and mile marker 24.0 (Bear Wallow Road) for milling, paving, and striping roadway.  This work will be done by Floating Maintenance and McIntosh Construction Company. 

HUMPHREYS, HICKMAN AND DICKSON COUNTIES

  • Monday June 10 and Tuesday June 11, 6PM-11PM, The left lane will be closed on I-40 in both directions in Humphreys, Hickman and Dickson Counties for slope mowing.  One lane will remain open. 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

  • Thursday June 6 through Wednesday June 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on State Route 374 between mile marker 2.0 and mile marker 3.0 for milling, paving, and striping roadway.  This work will be done by Floating Maintenance.  

ROBERTSON COUNTY

  • Tuesday June 11 through Friday June 28, The I-65 southbound Weigh-Station (mile marker 119.0) will be closed (No Entrance) for repair to the concrete and for milling, paving and striping the roadway at the scales.  This work will be done by Floating Maintenance and LoJac Enterprises.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

  • Tuesday June 11, 6PM-12AM, There will be alternating lane shifts on State Route 96 between mile marker 6 and mile marker 8 for milling and paving.  Both lanes will remain open. 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

Sidewalk Project

  • Friday June 7 through Saturday June 8, 7PM-7AM, Hillsboro Road between Del Rio Pike and Brick Street will be closed to thru traffic for utility work.  All traffic will be detoured. 

 

TDOT Geotech:

Smith County

  • From now through through Friday June 14, 9AM-3PM, The right lane of I-40 eastbound will be closed in Smith County (MM 250-252) in order to core the shoulder for a future project.

Macon County

  • Thursday June 6 through Friday June 7, 9AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed on Hartsville Rd. (SR 10) eastbound between SR 52 and Wilburn Lane for geotechnical drilling.  Flaggers will be utilized.

 

TDOT Local Programs

  • Wednesday June 5 through Friday June 7, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 386 eastbound and westbound (Vietnam Veterans Pkwy.) in order to remove barrier rail and clean median area.
  • Monday June 10 through Friday June 14, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 386 at Indian Lake Blvd. in order to paint the bridge.

 

TDOT Traffic Office

  • From now through July 15, 5AM-3PM, There will be a full lane closure of the outside westbound (outbound) lane of SR 100 at Vaughn’s Gap for emergency work on the railroad.  Three lanes will remain open.
