May 30th—June 5th, 2013

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • June 1 through July 20, Ewing Lane and a portion of Hillhurst will be closed and detours will be in place to allow excavation of the roadway under I-65.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • No lane closures this week.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through June 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Battery Lane over West Fork Browns Creek

  • Starting Monday June 3 through August 31, Battery Lane will be closed for bridge replacement.  Detours will be in-place. 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from I-440 to Haywood Lane

  • Thursday May 30 through Wednesday June 5 (excluding Saturday), 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound in order to pave the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 254 (Bell Rd.) from Blue Hole Rd. to Murfreesboro Rd. Including Bridge Deck Repair

  • Thursday May 30 and Friday May 31, 9PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Bell Rd. in order to install permanent striping.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 12 from Briley Pkwy, to the Cheatham Co. Line

  • Sunday June 2 through Wednesday June 5, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 12 in order to install permanent striping.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • Thursday May 23, 9AM-3PM, (Tuesday May 28 and/or Wednesday May 29, 9AM-3PM backup dates in case of inclement weather), There will be alternating lane closures on Dickerson Rd. from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09) to repair the expansion joints on the bridge.

HICKMAN COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-40 over Garners Creek and Garners Creek Rd.

  • Friday May 31, 8PM through Monday June 3, 6AM, There will be one lane closed of I-40 westbound (MM 162.0) in order to work on the bridge.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday May 30 through Wednesday June 5, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson
  • Thursday May 30 through Wednesday June 5, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson
  • Thursday May 30 and Friday May 31, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 at Murfreesboro Rd. for bridge approach repair.

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization is in place.

MARSHALL COUNTY, Resurfacing on I65 from the Giles Co. line to the Maury Co. line

  • No lane closures this week

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Resurfacing and Bridge Deck Repair on I-24 from SR 76 to the Robertson Co. Line

  • Thursday May 30 through Wednesday June 5, 8PM-6AM, There will be one alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound in order to mill and pave the roadway.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 268 from US 431 to US 231

  • Thursday May 30 through Wednesday June 5, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions in order to pave the roadway and place pavement markings.

SMITH COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 beginning at Smith/Wilson County line to exit 258 (Smith County)

  • Thursday May 30 through Wednesday June 5 (excluding Saturday), 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for asphalt milling operations.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday May 30 through Wednesday June 5, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for asphalt patching.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday May 30 through Wednesday June 5, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 northbound and southbound for utility line relocation work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • From now through December 2013, the inside lanes of Mack Hatcher Pkwy. in both directions approximately ½  west of the Franklin Rd intersection will be closed in order to  perform median work and work on the next phase of construction.
  • Thursday May 30 through Wednesday June 5, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures at the intersection of SR 96 and Mack Hatcher Pkwy. for utility work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday, May 30 through Wednesday, June 5, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Thursday, May 30 through Wednesday, June 5, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open.  (Weather permitting) 
  • Thursday, May 30 through Wednesday, June 5, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open. (Weather permitting) 
  • Tuesday, June 4, 8PM-1AM, The two left lanes will be closed on I-24 eastbound between mile marker 48.7 to mile marker 49.0 for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open. (Weather permitting) 

CHEATHAM COUNTY

  • Thursday, May 30 through Wednesday, June 5, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on State Route 249 between mile marker 22.8 and mile marker 24.0 (Bearwallow Road) for milling, paving, and striping roadway.  This work will be done by Floating Maintenance and McIntosh Construction Company. (Weather permitting) 

STEWART COUNTY

  • Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on State Route 76 (US 79) in Stewart County between mile marker 10.0 and mile marker 11.0 for paving and striping roadway.  (Weather permitting) 

TDOT Geotech:

Smith County

  • Monday June 3 through Friday June 14, 9AM-3PM, The right lane of I-40 eastbound will be closed in Smith County (MM 250-252) in order to core the shoulder for a future project.

TDOT Materials & Tests:

Rutherford County

  • Friday May 31, 9AM-12 Noon, There will be one closed on SR 266 from Gils St. at LM 5.00 to SR 840 at LM 9.00 in Rutherford County in order to core the pavement.  One lane will remain open.

Local Programs

  • Monday June 3 through Friday June 7, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 386 eastbound and westbound (Vietnam Veterans Pkwy.) in order to remove barrier rail and clean median area.

TDOT Traffic Office

  • Monday June 3 through Mid-July, 5:00AM-3PM, There will be a full lane closure of the outside westbound (outbound) lane of SR 100 at Vaughn’s Gap for emergency work on the railroad.  Three lanes will remain open.
